Can anyone name some other true crime series that have featured cases from Unsolved Mysteries, particularly after they were solved? I know the ATV murders were featured on Bloodlands, but I'm wondering if there are others. Thanks!

Might as well add some more:
William Bradford Bishop: The Hunt with John Walsh. I've been making a 20/20 set, and they've had quite a few UM cases on there: Darlie Routier, Jodi Huisentruit and Ted Binion come to mind. I also heard Amy Billig was on Investigative Reports, hosted by Bill Kurtis. I'd love to track that down somehow. I don't know the episode title and I've never seen this show. ONS/EAR - E! Investigates. 48 Hours: Christopher Chichester. |

Yep there are many other threads as wiseguy gave one. Forensic files and AMW had a lot of them. Cold case files and American justice. Unfortunately many of these shows are hard to find these days, but HLN is always showing forensic files.

Thanks! Netflix Canada has a few shows like Forensic Files, FBI Files, Bloodlands and Your Worst Nightmare, so I'm curious to see if there are any UM cases on those shows.
(I did search this topic before starting a new one but that thread didn't show up) |

Other shows did stuff on the ATV murders and were done very well.

There are a lot to name, but I will start with the 1995 murder of South Carolina hairdresser Dana Satterfield. Besides UM, it was highlighted on three other true crime shows that I'm aware of:
Forensic Files - "Driven to Silence" Solved - "A Test of Time" On The Case with Paula Zahn - "A Deadly Secret" As you know, Dana's killer, Jonathan Vick, was prosecuted by now-US Congressman Trey Gowdy. He was interviewed on the FF and Solved episodes. |

Definitely two of the ones I was most interested in seeing were the Linda Sobek and John Purvis ones, since we've only ever seen the updates to those cases on UM.
Also, Jeanne Tovrea was profiled on Dominick Dunne's Power, Privilege and Justice. |

I think one of the first ff/Um cases I saw was Dorothy Donovan. It's interesting to see how different the details are but how chilling the similarities are as well. It's also interesting to see how quickly LE pounces on family members/early leads to try to solve a crime. I also saw the rufino Castaneda case on both Um and AMW. Glad they caught that POs

Wow I'm watching the hunt on Netflix. Just watched the Bradford bishop segment and found out more than was shown on UM. Strongly suggest to check it out.

Swamp Murders showed Beverley McGowan (it was good!). Cold Case Files had Omar the arsonist, Lisa Marie Kimmel, and I believe Martha Moxley (could be wrong about Martha). FF showed Oba Chandler (just watched it yesterday) and as someone else mentioned Dorothy Donovan. I think CCF did something on EAR, too.

ONS/EAR was indeed on Cold Case Files, one of the very few unsolved cases that show has ever profiled. Oba Chandler has been on quite a few shows. |

Any show with EAR as the topic always rattles me. He is the devil, he is as cold as ice...he is a brick of ice...and I'd like to take an ice pick to that muthahf*ckah and smash him to bits....there was also another show (on the forbidden site) about him which also interviewed Larry Pool. I believe Pool is the one who posted it. Mia Zapata, Astarte Davis, and a few others were profiled on Forensic Files. I did a search on "forensic files and unsolved mysteries" and a UM Wiki page popped up showing the cases that both have profiled. |

Interesting that we are talking about this, because this afternoon I was watching an episode of Dateline, and the title was "The Devil and Bobbi Parker"...of course right away I knew the name, but it took me a minute to realize it was about Randolf Dial and the woman he kidnapped (or the woman who ran off with him, depending on your opinion). It was pretty good.
