April 3, 1941 - August 17, 2024 Alan Mark Haufrect, beloved father, actor, and later, sports marketing executive, died at his home in Century City on Saturday, August 17th. He was 83. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, to Fred Haufrect and Hilda Haufrect (née Rosenberg), Alan was raised in Houston, Texas, attended Bellaire High School, and was later inducted into the school's hall of fame. A graduate of Tulane University and then the Yale School of Drama, Alan went on to established himself as a go-to character actor in a variety of films, TV shows, commercials and stage plays in his almost 30-year career. In 1977, he married Kate McClure Lyman (1955-2015) and, in 1982, welcomed a baby girl, Sarah McClure Haufrect, into the world, whom he described as his greatest accomplishment. In the second half of life, Alan translated his skills to the sports industry, serving as a V.P. for two companies, Aminco International (USA), and then WinCraft, where he spent a decade leading the jewelry, pins and accessories division to great success, and popularizing the now ubiquitous WinCraft "Pin Trading Centers," now an indelible part of the sports fan experience. Never boastful unless speaking of others, Alan never missed an opportunity to remind folks that he was just a cowboy from Texas. His gentlemanly ways and incomparable wit will be dearly missed. He is survived by his daughter Sarah Haufrect and son-in-law Jared Cote, his two brothers Eric and Dale Haufrect and four nephews Adam, Ian, Brian and Mark Haufrect, along with an entourage of friends who filled his life with joy. |

His name has never been mentioned on here.
According to Wikipedia: Alan Haufrect as Brian (diner regular) (1978–1980) He appeared in 5 Alice episodes. It looks like he had quite a few roles as a character actor. https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0369255/ |

AI (courtesy of Google) claims he played Vera's boyfriend, Brian. That must've been another actor.

Her most frequent boyfriends were Brian (Alan Haufrect), with whom she attended Katharine Hepburn film festivals, and her former boyfriend from Boston, Steve Marsh (played by Linda Lavin's second husband Kip Niven).
