Default Artificial Intelligence...

What are your thoughts on AI?

I think AI is so Anti-Human!
I think it also may become dangerous to all humankind!

Word documents are Ai. Spreadsheets are Ai. Lots of good things can come from technology.

So far, the newer Ai is just a bumbling mess.

Just remember,
anything that was made to be used as good,
can also evolve to be used for evil!

Also remember, the new AI is still in it's infancy!

^^^
Ai has been around since the 50s. That is a long time to be an infant, unless you think it will be full grown at 200 years old.

The infant remark was the answer of your quote below about the newest AI, not from the beginning of AI, instead I should have said "toddler stage" not infant --I stand corrected:

The newest forms of AI were released on November 30 2022 for CHATGPT
and GPT-4 on March 14 2023 both developed by OpenAI.

So, both can still be considered in their "toddler stage,(1-2 years old)," not infant.

I love it! I use to produce stories and poem, etc... and help me with my writing...

Here is a funny, but kinda warm A I generated poem I had generated about the land line phone

Ode to the Landline phone

Ode to the Land Line Phone
Oh land line phone, how you've stood the test of time
In a world of smartphones, you still shine
Your faithful cord, so long and strong
Connecting us to loved ones, all day long
You've witnessed the passing of decades and trends
But your purpose remains, never to bend
A symbol of simpler days, now gone
But in our hearts, your memory lives on
No longer do we hear your familiar ring
But oh, the joy it used to bring
To rush to answer, and hear a familiar voice
Oh land line phone, you were our only choice
We'd sit and chat for hours on end
With no fear of running out of minutes to spend
Your battery never died, your signal never dropped
Oh land line phone, how you never stopped
You were there for us, through thick and thin
A lifeline to the outside world, within
You heard our secrets, our laughter, our tears
Oh land line phone, you've been with us for years
But now you sit, a relic of the past
Replaced by technology, moving fast
But in our hearts, you'll always remain
A reminder of simpler times, free from strain
So here's to you, dear land line phone
A symbol of a time now gone
You may be replaced, but never forgotten
For the memories you hold, will never be rotten.

Default Elon Musk sues OpenAI and CEO Sam Altman

Elon Musk sues OpenAI and CEO Sam Altman,
claiming betrayal of its goal to benefit humanity

Story by
KELVIN CHAN, THALIA BEATY and MATT O'BRIEN
March 1 2024

Elon Musk is suing OpenAI and its CEO Sam Altman over what he says is a betrayal of the ChatGPT maker's founding aims of benefiting humanity rather than pursuing profits.

In a lawsuit filed at San Francisco Superior Court, billionaire Musk said that when he bankrolled OpenAI's creation, he secured an agreement with Altman and Greg Brockman, the president, to keep the AI company as a nonprofit that would develop technology for the benefit of the public.

Under its founding agreement, OpenAI would also make its code open to the public instead of walling it off for any private company's gains, the lawsuit says.

However, by embracing a close relationship with Microsoft, OpenAI and its top executives have set that pact “aflame” and are “perverting” the company's mission, Musk alleges in the lawsuit.

OpenAI declined to comment on the lawsuit Friday. (...)

Elon Musk sues OpenAI for abandoning original mission for profit
Story by Jahnavi Nidumolu, Aditya Soni and Sheila Dang
March 1 2024

(Reuters) -Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk has sued ChatGPT-maker OpenAI and its CEO, Sam Altman, saying they abandoned the startup's original mission to develop artificial intelligence for the benefit of humanity and not for profit.

The lawsuit filed late on Thursday in California Superior Court in San Francisco is a culmination of Musk's long-simmering opposition to the startup he co-founded. OpenAI has since become the face of generative AI, partly due to billions of dollars in funding from Microsoft. Musk went on to found his own artificial intelligence startup, xAI, launched last July. I was leery of AI at first but I use Siri over 10 times a day. There is something about having any question that comes up in your life, answered immediately, in real time. I like it. For now, anyway. Right now Siri gives correct info but if ever there comes a time when Siri, is programmed for misinformation. That will be a VERY sad and dangerous day.

My own Mind pretty much told me this:

The purposive Sampling technique was used to draw the sample from the population. The data analysis findings show that AI significantly impacts the loss of human decision-making and makes humans lazy. It also impacts security and privacy.

There are quite a few sites to search this further.

So it is your own mind, huh?
