"I mean look at this, you see all of this shooting but no bullet holes anywhere. You see how I went down there? I didn't want to rip the suit. (laughs)
I did a 2-hour season premiere that filmed in New York. I was a social worker then and I ran into my friend Miguel [Piñero] who told me that he was writing for Miami Vice and to come down to get a part. So I went down and waited for about 3 hours to go and say 3 lines. About 3 weeks later I get a call from a guy telling me he's my agent and I booked a 3 week gig on Miami Vice.
