Post Episode information for Box Sets and Sunday Best for TV Land January

Box Set:
In January, TV Land viewers will be given a new way to see some of their favorite shows. Box Set will feature two-hours of programming in which all the shows are related in some way. Box Set will air Sundays from 3:00-5:00pm (ET/PT). This month's line up will be as follows:


January 13th:
3:00pm - Beverly Hillbillies #1 The Clampetts Strike Oil
A proud hillbilly family reluctantly exchanges a one-room mountain cabin for 25 million dollars and a 35 room mansion in Beverly Hills.
3:30pm - Get Smart #1 Mr. Big
Smart must prevent Mr. Big from destroying The country's major cities if he does not receive 100 million dollars in ransom. Mr. Big, who has captured professor Dante, plans to make good his threat with Dante's InThermo, a doomsday machine.
4:00pm - Leave It To Beaver #1 Beaver Gets 'Spelled
Beavers new teacher, Miss Canfield hands him a note after school. The other kids convince him that a note home means he's getting kicked out of school. Beaver hides the note and Miss Canfield finds it the next day. Wally types a reply from Mrs Ward Cleaver assuring the teacher that Beaver has been punished for his wrongdoings at school. Miss Canfield calls home to find out why Beaver was punished as a result of her request that he play Smokey Bear in the Fire Prevention Pageant.
4:30pm Honeymooners #1 TV or not TV
When Alice begs for a television set, Ralph and Ed agree to split the cost and share the set. But their friendship is jeopardized when they can't agree on a program to watch.

January 20th:
3:00pm – The Mary Tyler Moore #1 Love is All Around
Mary Richards says goodbye to a four year romance and hello to a new career as an
associate producer at WJM, a small television station in Minneapolis. Her ex-boyfriend shows up at her apartment, but it is apparent their romance is over.
3:30pm - Taxi #1 Like Father, Like Daughter
A pay telephone goes out of order and the cabbies are able to place calls anywhere in the world for free. Alex reaches his seventeen-year-old daughter, Cathy who lives with his ex-wife in Brazil. He learns that Cathy is traveling in Portugal to go to college and she will be changing planes in Miami the next day. All the cabbies volunteer to take turns driving and race to try and make it in Miami in time.
4:00pm - Happy Days #1 All The Way
Potsie meets Richie at the Arnold's Drive-in and tells him that he has fixed Richie up for a date with Mary Lou Milligan, who has a supposed "reputation". Warning Richie not to be his usual immature self, Potsie slips him a Mickey Spillane book and advises him to read "the good parts" to Mary Lou while on their date. Richie seems to have it made when Mary Lou accepts and suggests Richie keep her company during her baby-sitting job.
4:30pm - Laverne & Shirley #1 The Society Party
Laverne and Shirley, working on the bottle-capping line of Shotz Brewery, are thrilled when Tad Shotz, nephew of the owner, invites Shirley to a fancy dinner party. Shirley won’t accept unless Laverne can go with her - so they both receive invitations, but don’t have dresses suitable for the occasion. Lenny and Squiggy offer to rent gowns from “an uncle’s wax museum” to help them out.

January 27th:
3:00pm - All In The Family #1 Meet The Bunkers
It’s a busy day, it’s the day of Edith’s and Archie’s wedding anniversary and Edith somehow gets Archie to go to church. Meanwhile Gloria and his son-in- law, Michael Stivic throw a surprise anniversary party which, of course, turns into their signature raucous debate.
3:30pm - Maude #1 Maude's Problem
Maude fights a psychiatrist who is treating her daughter, as she sees her daughter's need for treatment as a criticism of her mothering.
4:00pm - Barney Miller #1 Ramon
A routine day for Capt. Miller. It starts with his wife Elizabeth complaining about the unsafe conditions in the city. For this reason, she tries to talk to Barney into quitting his job and moving to a quieter, more rural area to start a chicken ranch. Meanwhile at the police station, Fish and Chano have picked up a teenage drug addict as a mugging suspect. During the booking, the addict, Ramon Santcs gets Fish's gun and is holding the squad at bay.
4:30pm - Fish #1 The Really Longest Day
Fish and Bernice meet the five kids who will be part of their group home.


Sunday Best:
Sunday Best will feature two-hours quintessential episodes that made an impact to the television world. Tune in to Sunday Best Sundays from 8:00pm-10:00pm. This month's line up will include:

January 6th – I Love Lucy
8:00pm - I Love Lucy #36 Job Switching
Convinced that they need to do something more lucrative than keep house, Lucy and Ethel get jobs in a candy factory. The girls are forced to work at a conveyer belt which brings the sweets to them faster than their unskilled hands can pack them.
8:30pm - I Love Lucy #125 Harpo Marx
HARPO MARX meets himself in the Ricardo's apartment when Lucy decides to impersonate some Hollywood notables to impress a near-sighted girl friend who has come to visit from New York. The mix up occurs when Lucy, having introduced her friend to unreasonable facsimiles of Gary Cooper, Clark Gable, Marlon Brando, and Jimmy Durante, decides to impersonate Harpo Marx just as Harpo himself comes in with Ricky.
9:00pm - I Love Lucy #129 Lucy and John Wayne
Lucy, while souvenir collecting, lifted a cement block with John Wayne's footprints from Grauman's Chinese Theater, but a newspaper story says she was seen and an arrest is soon to be made. To avoid publicity and keep Lucy out of jail, Ricky agrees to help her replace the block and enlists John Wayne's help. One mishap leads to another and the plot thickens as does the cement.
9:30pm - I Love Lucy #150 Italian Movie
En route to Rome by train, Lucy is spotted by a famous Italian cinema director and is chosen to play a part in his new movie Bitter Grapes. Lucy sets out to immerse herself in the role. She nonchalantly wanders into a vineyard inhabited by a motley assortment of Italian-speaking women. She is dispatched to the wine-making area to crush grapes with her feet.

January 13th – The Mary Tyler Moore Show
8:00pm – The Mary Tyler Moore #1 Love Is All Around

8:30pm – The Mary Tyler Moore #81 Dinner Party
Mary offers a Congresswoman a casual invitation to dinner. She is soon drawn into planning a dinner party for the very next evening.
9:00pm – The Mary Tyler Moore #127 Chuckles Bites the Dust
Chuckles, dressed as a peanut, is "shelled" by an elephant at the circus. Mary is at first appalled by the insensitivity of her co-workers, who joke about the incident. She later finds humor in the situation, at Chuckles funeral.
9:30pm – The Mary Tyler Moore #168 The Last Show
In the final episode, WJM-TV is sold. The new owner, anxious to bring the fourth-rated news broadcast to a number-one position, begins by reevaluating the news operations. The news team fears Ted will be the first casualty. Much to their surprise, Ted is the one the new owner approves of and Mary, Lou, Murray and Sue Ann are fired.


January 20th – Get Smart
8:00pm - Get Smart # The Amazing Harry Who
KAOS agents are suspected of stealing the formula of the tranquilizer bomb, a powerful new weapon that produces instant sleep. Max and agent 99 follow an enemy agent to San Francisco, where the other agent is murdered. Joined by famous Asian detective, Harry Who, to investigate the murder, they are lured by the "Claw" to a Chinese laundry for annihilation.
8:30pm - Get Smart #27 Ship of Spies Part I
Max and 99 miss their only chance to identify the thief of an achievement in modern naval science, the nuclear amphibian battleship, when a CONTROL agent with the information is shot in a waterfront dive. The bumbling Smart's only clue is
the strange clip-clop sound heard after the agent was shot. In addition to spy problems, Max must keep a cargo of 800 monkeys from getting into 200 tons of bananas.
9:00pm - Get Smart #28 Ship of Spies Part II
Smart narrows his search for the person who stole plan to the nuclear amphibian battleship to everyone aboard the freighter, in the conclusion of "Ship of Spies".
Max considers the fact that his identity may be known to the thief. When he is shot at, the main mast crashes to the deck at his feet and he falls into the Atlantic Ocean through a weakened railing. The bumbling secret agent and Agent 99 encounter a flamenco dancer who sends coded messages on her castanets and a crippled Portuguese polo player who turns out not to be crippled, Portuguese or a polo player.
9:30pm - Get Smart #31 A Spy For A Spy
Siegfried offers to return the Chief to Max and Agent 99 in exchange for the secrets of his country's latest defense, the X-11, an all new laser powered missile dectector. Max then concocts a plan to kidnap KAOS's number-one assassin and exchange him for the chief. A gangland style kidnap spree starts until both sides have exhausted each others' agents, leaving only Max and Siegfried.

January 27th - Honeymooners
8:00pm - Honeymooners #3 The Golfer
alph's big mouth gets him into big trouble. He pretends to be an excellent golfer to get in good with his boss, but the plan backfires when the boss insists that Ralph join him for an important game.
8:30pm - Honeymooners #14 Man From Space
The Raccoon Lodge annual masquerade party inspires Ralph to concoct the most unique costume of the night.
9:00pm - Honeymooners #18 $99,000 Answer
A business incorporated by Ralph and Ed appears to be doomed to failure, but an unexpected windfall temporarily puts the two friends into big money.
9:30pm - Honeymooners #20 Young At Heart
Spurred on by his wife Alice, Ralph attempts to regain his youth - on a roller skating rink.
