Default Trish, the Dish?

I turned on ODAAT during the last couple minutes of the second episode tonight and saw Julie stuffing her blouse with Kleenex, and she made reference to a well-endowed girl named Trish. At that moment, deep from the recesses of my mind a memory came back to me of a character named Trish, the Dish. I'm thinking I heard that name on ODAAT in this episode 40 years ago. Am I dreaming this up or was there really a character in the episode tonight with that name?

No you are not dreaming! Yes indeed, Julie and Barbara were referring to her as "Trish the dish" ! Julie was jealous because a boy she liked, Jeff started dating "Trish the dish" who was busty and wore a lot of makeup! Hence the reason Julie was stuffing her bra with Kleenex cause Jeff stopped over for some homework help. But that was just an excuse, he was tired of Trish, cause she was fake and Julie was more natural and he wanted to ask her out!

The actor who played Jeff was Rory Stevens who played Chuckie Murdock on Leave it to Beaver! Yep that little blonde pesty neighbor kid of the Cleavers! He grew up cute. I loved his blonde "surfer hair"! The first of Julie's cute boyfriends to show up in the series!

Thanks for confirming that! Your description is totally bring this memory back to me! It's so weird because I haven't seen that episode since 1975, and I remember my mom and my sister laughing about that "Trish, the dish" line. I only saw the very end of the episode tonight and only heard Julie refer to her as Trish, but in my head I'm thinking, she's talking about "Trish, the Dish!" I wish I had seen the part of the episode where she actually says that. I seem to remember there being a conversation between Julie and Barbara where the name was first mentioned and it got a big laugh. I think Barbara says something like, "You mean Trish the Dish?" I probably haven't thought about this since then, nearly 40 years ago, which is why it feels so weird for this memory to resurface now. We're about the same age, Bonniegirl, so this is something out of my childhood and it's transporting me back in time. It's a very strange feeling.

And OMG, that was little Chuckie, who Beaver lost in the store???! I only saw the end of the episode, so I saw the blond guy. Something about him felt familiar but I couldn't put my finger on it. I wouldn't have guessed that was little Chuckie! Wow, all grown up! That's so cool!

Yeah. Rory Stevens guest starred in a lot of shows after playing Chuckie. Chuckie was the role he played the most. I actually researched the character Jeff on the first go round of ODAAT on Antenna, and found out he was Rory/Chuckie. IDK why I didn't post it than? I guess I wasn't sure if there were Leave it to Beaver fans on the ODAAT threads!

Yeah it seemed like they didn't show a lot of the girls that were mentioned on ODAAT The boys yes, but not the girls. Like Their friend Karen and I think there was a friend named Trudy? They never came over and hung out at the apartment ! Only in the party ep scenes and that girl who clung on to Barbara and tried to commit suicide, she came over. But their main friends never came over like real life teen girls do. I remember as a teenager my friends and I practically LIVED at each others houses!

That's the one where he got lost in the shoe store. Now who's the kid who thought Beaver had been turned into a rock?

I just found my answer. This episode: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0630191/

The little boy was Benjie, played by Joey Scott, who is a producer now! I get him confused with Chuckie.

I wonder if Rory Stevens who played Chuckie was related to Rusty Stevens who played Larry Mondello?

Yeah, in Carrie he plays one of John Travolta's friends.
He's also in another Piper Laurie horror flick, 'Ruby', which was released a year after 'Carrie', and the 1978 teen sex comedy Malibu Beach.

I took a couple of screen shots of him from Malibu Beach. He plays a character named Charlie. He doesn't have much dialogue, and most of his scenes he's always moving, dancing, so it was hard to get pics of him where you could see his face. (Except the two below, most of the time when he's on screen it's a side view.)

This is from the beginning of the movie, high school just let out for the summer. Rory is just sitting up after the 2 actors in the background just tackled him.

This scene he's getting stoned at a beach bonfire party.

That's a good question! If you Google their names together, you'll find comments from several people saying they think Rory is Rusty's little brother, including here: http://themccainranch.myfreeforum.or...t&topicid=3329

I seem to recall a conversation about this on the LITB board, but I don't know of anything confirming that they are brothers. Rusty, these days, is back on the East Coast, out of showbiz.

I always get Chuckie and Benjie mixed up too! Whenever I'm remembering a LITB episode with a little boy from the neighborhood , I don't remember if it's Chuckie or Benjie in the ep!
