"Sons of Anarchy" Actor Suspect in BIZARRE L.A. Double Death Dies
by TMZ Staff 9/27/12 Johnny Lewis -- who had big roles on "Sons of Anarchy", and "The O.C." and once dated Katy Perry -- was found dead yesterday ... and his body was discovered at the same L.A. property as an 81-year-old woman he's suspected of murdering ... TMZ has learned. According to our law enforcement sources, 28-year-old Lewis was found in a driveway Wednesday morning in the Los Feliz neighborhood -- and the elderly woman who owned the home was found dead inside ... the victim of a homicide. Investigators say they believe Lewis beat the woman to death. According to multiple reports, neighbors heard the 81-year-old woman screaming ... and then saw a young man outside her home attack 2 other people with a piece of wood ... before he climbed onto the roof and fell to his death. Lewis was renting a room from the 81-year-old victim. Law enforcement sources tell us Lewis is the sole suspect in the woman's murder, and they are not looking for other possible suspects. Lewis dated Perry back in 2006 -- and attended numerous Hollywood events together. Lewis played Kip 'Half-Sack' Epps on "Sons of Anarchy" for 2 seasons, and also had one-off roles on "Criminal Minds", "Bones", and "CSI". http://www.tmz.com/2012/09/27/sons-o...z-los-angeles/ |

He hasn't been on SOA for years but the media thinks putting it in the title makes a better story. Looks like he took his roles too seriously. His picture screams drug addict.

I knew I saw this actor from something else and I realized what it was.
People who have seen the Val Kilmer 2008 film Felon would know. |

Los Angeles police say they don't know whether a "Sons of Anarchy" actor jumped or fell to his death after allegedly killing an 81-year old woman who may have rented a room to him.
Cmdr. Andrew Smith says the body of 28-year-old Johnny Lewis was found Wednesday morning in the driveway of a hillside home in the Los Feliz area. Lewis appeared in the first two seasons of FX's "Sons of Anarchy" as Kip "Half Sack" Epps. The body of real estate agent Catherine Davis was inside. Smith says she may have been beaten and Lewis was the suspect. Smith says at some point, Lewis jumped or fell from the home's balcony. Lewis had been released from jail just five days before. According to the L.A. Times, investigators are looking into whether Lewis was under the influence of C2-I, a new drug known as "smiles," which causes severe hallucinations. "It was a tragic end for an extremely talented guy, who, unfortunately had lost his way," wrote "Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter online. "I wish I could say that I was shocked by the events last night, but I was not. I am deeply sorry that an innocent life had to be thrown into his destructive path." Lewis was a busy actor in television and films since 2000, first appearing in a guest role on "7th Heaven" and then on episodes of "Malcolm in the Middle" and "Judging Amy." He was a regular on the brief series "MTV's Now What?," playing Gilby, and was a star of another short-running series, Fox sitcom "Quintuplets"; recurred on Disney Channel's "Drake & Josh" as Scottie, on NBC's "American Dreams" as Lenny and on Fox's "The OC" aw as Dennis "Chili" Childress. More recently he had guested on shows including "CSI" and "Criminal Minds." The actor made his bigscreen debut in 2004's "Raise Your Voice" and subsequently appeared in films including "Pretty Persuasion" and "Underclassman." He had a lead role in "AVPR: Aliens vs Predator -- Requiem," appeared in musical biopic "The Runaways," starring Kristen Stewart, and most recently shot a role in the film "186 Dollars to Get Out." http://www.variety.com/article/VR1118059935 |

"Sons of Anarchy" Actor Johnny Lewis Not on Drugs During Alleged Attack on Landlady
11/30/2012 by Rebecca Ford Former "Sons of Anarchy" actor Johnny Lewis was not on drugs during the incident when he allegedly killed his landlady before falling to his death, according to a coroner’s report. Lewis died of traumatic injuries after falling from a terrace of the Los Feliz home on Sept. 26. Authorities believe that Lewis attacked his 81-year-old landlady and then, after struggling with a neighbor, ran up to the roof, where he fell. The death was determined to be accidental in the report from the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office. The report states it was unlikely that Lewis jumped to his death and also said there was no evidence of interference from another party. Lewis, who had a history of drug abuse and recently had undergone treatment in a rehab facility, had been released from L.A. County Jail five days before the incident that led to the attack on Catherine Davis, who was beaten to death. On "Sons of Anarchy", Lewis played Kip “Halfsack” Epps, a prospect hoping to join the California motorcycle club. His character was killed off in the season two finale. Creator Kurt Sutter later said in interviews that the character's death was not for sensationalism but because Lewis had wanted out of his contract. He also appeared on nine episodes of "The O.C.", played parts in the movies The Runaways and Lovely Molly and was a former boyfriend of Katy Perry. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/new...y-lewis-395876 |
