I collect TV show comics/others when I can find them. My collection ranges from 1938-1980.
Do you have complete runs?
Are there any comic conventions close to you?

I have the following complete runs:

A-Team #1-3
Bullwinkle & Rocky (Marvel) #1-9
Gidget #1 & 2
I Dream of Jeannie #1 & 2
Pirates of Dark Water #1-9

The last comic convention that I attended (come to think of it, the only one)
was in Rock Hill, S.C. (about 30 miles away), back in August 1999. Writer
Terry Collins autographed a copy of Cartoon Network Presents #23 for me.

I have a REALLY old Dobie Gillis comic book that I inherited from my dad after he died. It's all torn and beat up so I'm sure it's not worth much, but I thought it was cool!

As do I. I also have some Star Trek comics from the late '80s and early '90s. I'm currently collecting Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Season 8 and Angel: After The Fall (season 6).

Yes. And I have almost as many movie comics (see separate thread)! I
began seriously collecting in 1958, and in the last fifty years I have amassed
over 2,000 comic books of various kinds (incl. superheroes, biographies,
comic strip characters, funny animals, teenage humor, westerns, you-name-
it). I have DCs, Marvels, Dells, Gold Keys, Disney, Harvey, Archie, Charlton,
Dark Horse, and assorted other publishers. I have formats ranging from
digest-size up to treasury-size and everything in between. I have comic
books stored in three different rooms in my house (and that isn't even
including paperback, softcover and hardcover books devoted to comics).
In short, I'm a comic book nut!

I'm not a big comic book reader but I do love to read a lot and I love to read about my favourite sitcoms. Back in the early 70s, paperback stories about the popular sitcoms of that era which today would probably be called Fan Fiction were big with fans back then and would be a great treasure for collectors of today. The titles I have include the following:

Get Smart #1
Get Smart - Missed It By That Much
Partridge Family #1
Partridge Family #2 - The Haunted Hall
Partridge Family #3 - Keith The Hero
Partridge Family #4 - The Ghost Of Graveyard Hill
Partridge Family #8 - Treasure of Ghost Mountain
Partridge Family #10 - Marked For Terror
Happy Days #3 - The Invaders
Happy Days #4 - Fonzie Fonzie Superstar
Happy Days #5 - The Fonz and LaZonga
Welcome Back Kotter #2 - The Sweathog Newshawks
Welcome Back Kotter #3 - The Super Sweathogs
Welcome Back Kotter #5 - The Sweathog Sit-In

I'll try to get more once I find a good used bookstore that would have them available---and cheap! These books are lots of fun to read, and they make great guilty pleasures too!

And remember...

READING IS COOL!

You can still find TV-related paperbacks in thrift stores, like the Salvation Army. Some of the ones I have spotted in recent years include:

Bridget Loves Bernie
Growing Pains
Partridge Family
Rod Serling's Night Gallery
Star Trek (by James Blish)
Star Trek: The Next Generation

These are usually priced at just 49 to 79 cents. Oftentimes the books are in like-new, unread condition...!

Also, the Whitman juvenile hardcover of Star Trek: Mission to Horatius has been reprinted. I got my mint copy of the replica edition at a dollar store, $1.

P.S. I forgot to mention in my previous post that I got a nice copy of the Gold Key comic book The Governor and J.J. no. 1 a few years ago...!
