James E. Driskill Jr. (Jimmie), 78, passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2008.Born in Louisville, Kentucky, Jim was always energetic and out going. Throughout his school years, he excelled in sports, winning many competitions in tennis and tower diving. After serving in the military during the Korean conflict, Jim became an on-air personality at WHAS Radio in Louisville. His love of acting took him to Hollywood where, as a member of Screen Actors Guild, he appeared in dozens of films and television programs, as well as hundreds of stage productions. After his retirement, he continued to perform on stage and became one of Sun City West's most respected actors. His portrayals have earned him several nominations and he was presented two Zonie awards (the Arizona equivalent of a Tony). He is survived by his beloved wife, Cathy; his sister, Audrey; and brother, Dennis. His talents have brought joy into the lives of thousands. His family, friends and fellow thespians will dearly miss him. We will give him a standing ovation in our hearts as he takes his final bow. No services are being held.Visit this person's Guest Book at www.yourwestvalley.com |

James Driskill was the actor who played the cop that gave Lamont the traffic ticket in "Fred the Legal Eagle." His interrogation by Fred in the courtroom scene is one of the funniest moments of the series.

I didn't realize that the actor that played the judge in that ep, Arthur Adams, also played Mel, Donna's love interest in "Donna Pops the Question". Usually I recognize same actors that play different parts throughout the series.
