Specials & Marathons

- Hi-Jinks April Fool’s Marathon
Saturday, April 1, 2006
10 p.m. to 12 a.m. ET/PT
Nick at Nite celebrates April Fool’s Day with a marathon night of Hi-Jinks. Nick@Nite’s hidden camera hit featured a celebrity prank segment in which famous faces use their talents to play tricks on bewildered tikes. This season, actors Jane Seymour, Alan Thicke and Tichina Arnold were among the celebrities who conspired with parents to prank kids. Tune in for a night of tricks and treats!
10p Alan Thicke (Growing Pains) tricks his 8-year old son and his friends by bringing them to a skate shop to get free boards. When they come back an hour later to pick them up, the shop has turned into a women’s clothing store, utterly confusing the boys. Other pranks include a teenager’s car disappearing from a car wash, a monkey suddenly appearing in a port-o-potty and a fake audition/scream test where a scary character actually shocks the kids.
10:30p Actress Jane Seymour (Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman) takes her twin sons to a museum and surprises them with a new meaning of “pop art” when someone jumps out of the painting. Other pranks in the show include an elephant package delivery, a leaky ceiling that kids can’t get away from and a fake job interview.
11p What if you are a new, rising celebrity and you are suddenly faced with the world’s worst interview? Well, Tichina Arnold of Everybody Hates Chris sets up her TV sitcom son, Tyler Williams, with such a prank on this new edition of Hi-Jinks. Other bits in this episode include a single dad introducing his adult son to his new and bizarre girlfriend, a self-serve ice cream machine that turns on kids with over-flowing results, and a telepathic helmet that appears to give kids the power to move objects through the air at will!
11:30p Two-and-a-half-Men’s Jon Cryer pranks his on-screen offspring, Angus Jones, in a bit where young Angus has to sign his autographs for fans, but the items he’s asked to sign become more and more bizarre. Also in the show, a parrot in a pet store delivers funny insults to kids walking by, a dump truck destroys what would have been a teen-ager’s first car buy, and kids visit a library where book shelves keep falling.

Katey Sagal to Host
Nick at Nite's Search for the Funniest Mom in America 2

Network Reveals the Ten Finalists Competing for the Crown

Santa Monica, CA, February 13, 2006 - Nick at Nite announced today that
actress Katey Sagal (Married...with Children, 8 Simple Rules for Dating
My Teenage Daughter) will host Nick at Nite's Search for the Funniest
Mom in America 2. Additionally, the network revealed the names of the
ten moms selected to compete for this year's crown. The competition - a
five-part reality series -- debuts on Tuesday, April 4 at 10 p.m. (all
times ET/PT). The series airs at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT beginning Tuesday,
April 11 and will culminate with an hour-long finale in which one winner
is chosen on Tuesday, May 9 from 9:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. (ET/PT).

"Katey Sagal is the perfect choice to host this year's Search for the
Funniest Mom," explains Sal Maniaci, Senior Vice President, Development
and Production, TV Land and Nick at Nite. "Synonymous for her roles
playing such memorable moms on two hit comedies, her talent and humor
are sure to resonate with these moms as well as our viewers."

In this five-part elimination series, Nick at Nite follows the ten
finalists as they live together in a penthouse suite in New York City.
During their stay in New York, they receive surprise visits from
celebrity guests and the series' host -- Katey Sagal -- and compete in a
variety of comedic challenges, each underscoring the contestants'
talents and personalities. The moms, divided into teams, tackle
everything from entertaining an audience of kids to actual street
performances in New York City to a sitcom screen test challenge. The
weakest performers on each challenge will face off against each other in
a head-to-head stand-up comedy battle. Over the course of the series, 5
moms will be eliminated and the five remaining will compete in the
show's finale, performing stand-up comedy in front of an audience of
hundreds. The winner will be awarded $50,000, the chance to develop
her own show for Nick at Nite and host a special night of programming on
the network.

Darlene Westgor, who was crowned "The Funniest Mom in America" for 2005,
has been paired by Nick at Nite with renown comic and screenwriter Carol
Leifer (Seinfeld, The Larry Sanders Show) for a pilot that is based on
Westgor's life as a single mom living and working in Minnesota. Leifer
recently spent time with Westgor in her home to immerse herself into
Westgor's life to help shape the network's untitled pilot, which will be
shot in Los Angeles in spring 2006.

Following are the 10 moms competing for the title of The Funniest Mom in
America:

Name: Lisa Alvarado
Hometown: Los Angeles, CA

Name: Paula Bel
Hometown: Los Angeles, CA

Name: Nellie Coes
Hometown: Portland, ME

Name: Sherry Davey
Hometown: Brooklyn, NY

Name: Just Jay
Hometown: Denver, CO

Name: Donna Lee McBride
Hometown: Austin, TX

Name: Angela Montgomery
Hometown: Cincinnati, OH

Name: Donna Murray
Hometown: St. Louis, MO

Name: Rubi Nicholas
Hometown: Denver, CO

Name: Christine Stedman
Hometown: St. Louis, MO

After receiving hundreds of entries from moms around the country, Nick
at Nite narrowed its selection down to twenty-one women. The women were
chosen to perform at the semi-finals in January 2006 at New York City's
Laugh Factory, where the final ten moms were selected to appear in the
reality series.

Katey Sagal has entertained audiences in a variety of dramatic and
comedic roles throughout her career. She recently wrapped her parts in
the independent film I'm Reed Fish and the tele-film 3 Wise Guys, and
appeared as "Helen" on the television phenomenon Lost. With the support
of record label Valley Entertainment, she released her album, "Room," in
early June. "Room" is the first record for Sagal since her 1994 debut,
"Well." "Room" is a combination of original songs penned by Sagal
including "Life Goes Round", "Daddy's Girl" and "Wish I Were a Kid" and
memorable classics like "Feel a Whole Lot Better" and "(For the Love of)
Money". Sagal gained national attention for her role as the outrageous
'Peg Bundy' in the ground-breaking, highly-rated long-running series
Married...with Children, for which she earned three Golden Globe(r) and
two American Comedy Award nominations. Most recently, Sagal starred in
the ABC series 8 Simple Rules..., the NBC series Tucker, the television
movie God's New Plan and as the voice of Leela, a beautiful one-eyed
alien, in the animated series Futurama.

Nick at Nite Originals was created in 2003 to develop original
programming that meets what the network refers to as the "Four F's"
criteria: programming that is Family-Friendly, Funny and Familiar. Nick
at Nite Originals produces Fatherhood (June 2004), a show based on Bill
Cosby's best-selling book of the same name. Nick at Nite also produced
Hi-Jinks, the network's hidden-camera series in which adults play
good-natured pranks on kids of all ages, which returns to the network in
its second season in February 2006. And last May, Darlene Westgor was
crowned "The Funniest Mom in America" when the network aired Nick at
Nite's Search for the Funniest Mom in America, which returns for a
second season in April 2006.

You know as much of a fan of Roseanne That I am (Sorry, thats the dr. suess in me) don't you think it would be a better idea the give the new show a double time slot and at an earlier time... We know Murphy Brown failed in this spot (im not saying that it was because of this but) but I mean jezze...

NICK AT NITE, FEBREZE® AND MEDIAVEST TEAM UP TO UNLEASH AT THE POOCHARELLI'S, THE NETWORK'S FIRST EVER ORIGINAL MINI-SITCOM WITH BRAND INTEGRATION

Interstitial Comedy Series Follows Misadventures of a Suburban Family of Dogs

Santa Monica, CA (March 13, 2006) - Nick at Nite, Procter & Gamble (P&G) and MediaVest USA, today announced an alliance to produce At The Poocharelli's, a series of eight 90-second interstitials about a family of canines that will integrate Febreze - the popular fabric freshener and odor remover, directly into many of the show's story lines. The mini-sitcom is the first of its kind and will premiere on Nick at Nite -- the home to modern classic sitcoms -- on Tuesday, April 11. It will be presented in weekly installments every Tuesday evening at 9:57 p.m. ET/PT.

At The Poocharelli's is the first interstitial of its kind, as it moves far beyond the classic vignette format and into a new realm. This is the first time that a media services company, television network and a major brand - like Febreze - have worked together to make unique, short-form programming. Together, the three companies collaborated on programming, creative production, scripts, set design, graphics packaging and promotional elements.

"At The Poocharelli's is a clever and innovative way for us to marry product integration with short-form sitcom programming that makes Febreze stand out," explains Karen Bressner, Senior Vice President, Nick at Nite and TV Land Ad Sales. "We are not only constantly seeking creative solutions for advertisers needs, but ways to be able to entertain our viewers, so this is the perfect answer. We are thrilled to have P&G take this bold new step with us."

At the Poocharelli's is the result of a joint effort among P&G's Febreze Brand, SMG United/MediaVest and Nick at Nite. It is a natural evolution for Febreze and was driven by assessing the coinciding consumer insights of the Febreze customer and the Nick at Nite viewer. As a leader in air care and fabric refreshers, Febreze is the ideal tool for neutralizing lingering odors in the home, therefore the brand's presence in At The Poocharellis intends to showcase the connection between pet ownership and freshening the home.

"P&G views the integration of Febreze products into a mini-sitcom as a breakthrough marketing concept," said Eric Huston, Brand Manager for Febreze. "Leveraging the strategic investment and creative resources of MediaVest, this partnership with Nick at Nite is the ideal way for the Febreze brand to continue innovative thinking in the marketplace, and truly showcase Febreze and its benefits in a way that is relatable to our consumers."

At The Poocharelli's, directed by comedy veteran Chris Koch of KONK (My Name is Earl, Scrubs, A Guy Thing), follows the misadventures and daily lives of a middle-class family of canines. The Poocharelli family consists of: Maggie Poocharelli, the mom and a poodle who is the boss of the household; Dad Pete, a hard-working, no nonsense chocolate lab; Brittany, a Yorkshire terrier who is a sociable teenager; Cody, the eleven year-old troublemaking Jack Russell; five West Highland terrier puppies; Gramps, the always-sleeping mainstay who is a mixed terrier; and Evelyne, Maggie's cynical bulldog sister.

Like a traditional sitcom, the living room is the center of their universe, where most of the storylines unfold, such as keeping the home fresh and clean, working on projects or just spending time together like an average American family. Upcoming At The Poocharelli's episodes include:

* "Maggie Quits" - Frustrated by the mess her family generates, Maggie quits. But when the family cleans up the whole house to get her back - they're in for a surprise!
"Pete's Lost It" - Pete, a police dog, is passed over for a promotion and he is convinced that it's because his sense of smell is gone. As it turns out, his daughter has actually been using Febreze!
"A Date for Evelyne" - Maggie's sister Evelyne is very single, and the usually antagonistic Pete sets her up on a blind date. The results are surprising for everyone!

While At The Poocharelli's is a new venture for P&G and the Febreze brand, it is an offshoot of both TV Land and Nick at Nite's interstitial programming which features product integration. Road Crew, which has been airing on Nick at Nite since 2003, and Game Time, which premiered in September 2005 on TV Land, both integrate advertisers messages and products in fun and entertaining ways.

Nick at Nite programming characterizes what the network refers to as the "Four F's": programming that is Family-Friendly, Funny and Familiar. Therefore the brand's presence in At The Poocharelli's intends to showcase the connection not only between pet ownership and freshening the home, but of the benefits of programming on Nick at Nite, aimed at a busy, multi-tasking modern family.

The Febreze family of products, which includes the Febreze Fabric Refresher line, Febreze Air Effects(tm) and Febreze NOTICEables(tm), all feature revolutionary odor eliminating technology. In addition, Febreze Scentstories(tm) provides candle-like scents at the touch of a button. Febreze products are fun, must-have tools that help keep your home smelling fresh and clean, making the Febreze house the place to be. For more information, visit www.febreze.com.

Los Angeles, CA, March 16, 2006 - Performing sketches for an audience of
kids, selling jokes to New Yorkers on the go and a sitcom screen test
are among the challenges that ten moms face in Nick at Nite's five-part
reality series, Search for the Funniest Mom in America 2, premiering on
Tuesday, April 4 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. Actress Katey Sagal (Married...with
Children, 8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter) is hosting the
competition in which ten finalists live together and compete in a
variety of comedic challenges vying for the chance to win the title of
"Nick at Nite's Funniest Mom in America." The series will culminate
with an hour-long finale on Tuesday, May 9 from 9:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
(ET/PT) in which judges Mario Cantone (Broadway's Laugh Whore, Sex and
the City), Carol Leifer (The Larry Sanders Show, Seinfeld) and Alfonso
Ribeiro (Fresh Prince of Bel Air, All of Us) select a winner.

Nick at Nite follows the ten finalists as they live together in a
penthouse suite in New York City. Throughout each 30-minute episode,
they receive surprise visits from celebrity guests and the series' host
-- Katey Sagal -- and compete in a variety of comedic challenges, each
underscoring the contestants' talents and personalities. The moms,
divided into teams, tackle everything from entertaining an audience of
kids to performances in New York City to a sitcom screen test challenge.
The lowest scoring performers on each challenge will face off against
each other in a head-to-head stand-up comedy battle. Over the course of
the series, five moms will be eliminated and the five remaining
contestants will compete in the show's finale, performing stand-up
comedy to a packed house on a New York City stage. Judges Mario
Cantone, Carol Leifer and Alfonso Ribeiro will select the winner, who
will be awarded $50,000, the chance to develop her own show for Nick at
Nite and host a special night of programming on the network.

The episode rollout is as follows:

Tuesday, April 4 at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT
"Semi-finals Casting Special"
After months of comedy club tryouts, the top comic moms from around the
country compete at The Laugh Factory in New York City. Ten moms make
the cut and arrive at the penthouse suite where they meet each other and
the host of the series, Katey Sagal.

Tuesday, April 11 at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT
"Betwixt by Tweens"

Katey gives the moms their first challenge: sketch-writing. Comedian
Tim Meadows comes by the suite to coach the moms who are asked to
perform their sketches for an audience of kids. The drama intensifies
as one of the moms walks off the show and another is eliminated in the
first comedy face-off at Gotham comedy club.

Tuesday, April 18 at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT
"Mallrats"

As the moms prepare for their second challenge, one of the moms faces
trouble at home and is forced to leave the competition. Comic Jeff Ross
makes an appearance at the Manhattan Mall as the moms try to sell their
jokes to the public. The moms who lose the challenge go back to Gotham
for second comedy elimination, and another mom is sent home.

Tuesday, April 25 at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT
"So You Wanna Be In A Sitcom?"

The women are paired off and prepare for their third and final
challenge: acting in a screen test. Actress and TV director Amanda
Bearse (Married...with Children) coaches and directs them as they
perform for her on a soundstage. The losing moms go up against each
other at Gotham and one is sent home. The five remaining women will
perform at the finale.

Tuesday, May 2 at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT
"Funniest Mom Re-dux"

This is a recap of the previous episodes and it includes new scenes and
takes an in-depth look at the five finalists.

Tuesday, May 9 at 9:30 p.m.
"Finale"

The five finalists perform in front of a live audience and for
celebrity judges Mario Cantone, Carol Leifer and Alfonso Ribeiro. One
woman is crowned the "Funniest Mom in America" and wins $50,000 and the
chance to create her own TV show on Nick at Nite.

I wish N@N would stop moving MB later and later. Makes me worry that they're going to take it off.

AT THE POOCHARELLI'S, NICK AT NITE'S FIRST EVER ORIGINAL MINI-SITCOM WITH
BRAND INTEGRATION, PREMIERES ON TUESDAY, APRIL 11 AT 9:57 P.M. ET/PT

Nickatnite.com to Launch Companion Website Tuesday, April 4 Featuring
Original Interviews with Canine Cast, Behind-the-Scenes Footage and More

Santa Monica, CA, April 3, 2006 - Nick at Nite unleashes At The Poocharelli's, an interstitial comedy series following the misadventures of a suburban family of dogs, on Tuesday, April 11. The 90-second mini-sitcom, which will air every Tuesday at 9:57 p.m. ET/PT for eight weeks, is the first of its kind and is a result of an alliance between Nick at Nite, Procter & Gamble (P&G) and MediaVest USA. Many of the interstitials will integrate Febreze - the popular fabric freshener and odor remover - into the show's storylines. Additionally, beginning Tuesday, April 4, nickatnite.com will launch its exclusive At The Poocharelli's site in which visitors can navigate through interviews with the cast, behind-the-scenes footage, character bios and more.

At The Poocharelli's, directed by comedy veteran Chris Koch of KONK (My Name is Earl, Scrubs, A Guy Thing), examines the daily lives of a middle-class family of canines.

The eight-episode rollout of At The Poocharelli's includes:

Episode 1 - "Maggie Quits"
Premieres Tuesday, April 11 at 9:57pm
Frustrated by the mess her family generates, homemaker Maggie quits. But when the family cleans up the whole house to get her back - they're in for a surprise!

Episode 2 - "Mister Boots Goes Too Far"
Premieres Tuesday, April 18 at 9:57pm
The Poocharelli's next-door neighbor is a cat (not that there is anything wrong with that) but Mister Boots' persnickety efforts to keep his lawn free of puppies could lead to a full-scale feud. In the end, Boots is not only barking up the wrong tree, he's also getting stuck there!

Episode 3 - "Pete's Lost It"
Premieres Tuesday, April 25 at 9:57pm
Pete, a police dog, is passed over for a promotion and he is convinced that it's because his sense of smell is gone. As it turns out, his daughter has actually been using Febreze!

Episode 4 - "Cody the Genius"
Premieres Tuesday, May 2 at 9:57pm
Much to the surprise of the family, the underachieving sixth-grader Cody is identified as a super genius! Can a boy who is happiest chasing his own tail survive studying that advanced physics, canine enzyme biology and reading that Great Dane known as Hamlet? Oh the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune!

Episode 5 - "Maggie's New Look"
Premieres Tuesday, May 9 at 9:57pm
Pete hardly notices her anymore, so Maggie decides to go for a complete make-over at the spa - if she can figure out whether to get two manicures or two pedicures! Will Pete remain oblivious or will the magic be back?

Episode 6 - "A Date for Evelyne"
Premieres Tuesday, May 16 at 9:57pm
Maggie's sister Evelyne is very single, and the usually antagonistic Pete sets her up on a blind date. The results are surprising for everyone!

Episode 7 - "A Star is Home"
Premieres Tuesday, May 23 at 9:57pm
Maggie's old school friend is now a globetrotting celebrity and Westminster champion. But she longs for the comforts of home and hearth. During her visit, Maggie gets a new appreciation for the simple pleasures of family life - and Pete learns to keep his big yap closed!

Episode 8 - "Maggie's Last Days"
Premieres Tuesday, May 30 at 9:57pm
Overhearing one of Pete's phone conversations, Maggie leaps to the conclusion that the doctor is only giving her two weeks to live! Everyone's behavior seems to confirm this shocking prognosis, and they're taking it all rather lightly!

Beginning Tuesday, April 4, At the Poocharelli's can also be seen online at www.nickatnite.com. Fans visiting this site can meet the cast by reading full character descriptions, seeing video interviews, watch behind-the-scenes footage of the taping of the mini-sitcom, play a video puzzle and download a free screensaver. After each episode premieres on-air, it can be seen in its entirety online.
