Good Morning World aired from September 1967 until September 1968 on CBS.

This sitcom was the first to be set at a radio station. It starred Joby Baker as Dave Lewis and Ronnie Schell ( formerly of Gomer Pyle U.S.M.C.) as Larry Clarke , two Los Angeles disc jockeys who co-hosted an early morning show ( " The Lewis and Clarke Show")at a small radio station that was owned by the overbearing Roland B. Hutton Jr. ( Billy DeWolf). Their adventures both on and off the air were the subjects of stories in this series. Dave was happily married to Linda ( Julie Parrish), while Larry, a single , fancied himself quite a swinger. Goldie Hawn, in her pre -Laugh-In days played the Lewises' gossiping neighbor Sandy, who was interested in Larry. The series was developed by the team responsible for The Dick Van Dyke Show: Carl Reiner, Sheldon Leonard, Bill Persky, and Sam Denoff.

Here is Billy DeWolfe's Obituary from the New York Times

Billy DeWolfe, Comedian, Dies; In Call Me Madam, Other Films

LOS ANGELES, March (AP) Billy De Wolfe, the comedian‐actor, died yesterday after having undergone treatment for lung cancer. His age was 67.

Mr. De Wolfe, whose first job in show business was as a dancer, performed on Broadway, in motion pictures and on television. One of his best known movie roles was his impersonation of Mrs. Murgatroyd, a middle‐age matron, in Blue Skies. He also appeared in Dixie, Tea for Two and Lullaby of Broadway.

Withdrew From Irene

Mr. De Wolfe, whose given name was Billy Jones, would have had his final fling on Broadway in the current run of Irene, co‐starring with Debbie Reynolds and Patsy Kelly, if his health had been up to the part. On the advice of his physician, he withdrew during the rehearsal stage.

Born in Wollaston, Mass., he started as a theater usher in nearby Quincy and reached the stage in a local revue. For five years he toured in Europe, and after a period on the supper‐club circuit, received his first big chance the night the Stage Door Canteen the servicemen's club here opened, March 2, 1942.

By then he had been listed as a comedian rather than dancer. He entered the Navy after his first movie, the 1943 Paramount musical Dixie, which starred Bing Crosby and Dorothy Lamour. Bosley Crowther, film critic of The New York Times, found him a minus quantity in a spot generally filled by Bob Hope.

After his release from the Navy in 1944, Mr. De Wolfe returned to Paramount and a succession of parts in musical films. In 1946, Mr. Crowther found him amusing in Miss Susie Slagle's.

The smooth dapper figure with the Gable mustache was becoming better‐known. He ranked second to Evelyn Keyes and Just ahead of Peter Lawford in the 1947 Motion Picture Herald poll of theater owners to pick rising box‐office personalities. In 1948 he was (picked on Hollywood's team of 10 stars for presentation to members of the British royal family in London.

Perhaps Mr. De Wolfe's most successful film appearance was in Call Me ??dam in 1953, in which he was an Americas diplomat of the stripe‐pants school contrasting with the more informal methods of Ethel. Merman as the Ambassador.

A year late he was on Broadway, paired with Hermione Gingold in the John Murray Anderson Almanac and winning the praise of Brooks Atkinson, theater critic of The Times, for their notable buffoonery.

Another revue found him with Beatrice Lillie in The Ziegfeld Follies, 1957 edition. Mr. De Wolfe had a two‐year run as J. B. Biggley in the London production of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying and played it again in the City Center revival in 1966.
