This is a 1975 photo of Bob Crane who starred in The Bob Crane show. That series aired on NBC from March until June 1975.

In this short-lived series Bob Crane, played a fourtyish insurance executive named Bob Wilcox, who abruptly decided to quit his job and enter medical school. The family pitched in, but the problems inherent in being twice the age of the other students and dependent on his working wife Ellie (Trisha Hart), created constant comic situations as did such resident characters as the over zealous Dean Ingersoll ( Jack Fletcher) and nutty landlord Mr. Busso ( Ronny Graham). Rounding out the cast was Bob and Ellie's daughter Pam ( Erica Petal), and fellow students Marvin and Jerry( Todd Susman, James Sutorious).

The half hour show was produced by Norman S. Powell and Marty Cohan for MTM Enterprises.

Bob Crane, a one-time disc jockey who had been featured on The Donna Reed Show and had starred in Hogan's Heroes, was found murdered in an Arizona Hotel Room in June of 1978.
