"BEST PERFORMANCE BY AN ACTRESS IN A TELEVISION SERIES - MUSICAL OR COMEDY" looks kind of one sided.

I like Teri but want Marcia to win, Teri and Felicity have already won a Golden Globe and Emmy respectively so it's Marcia's turn IMO.

Who wants to bet that the Housewives are going to become like The Golden Girls (Betty and Bea both won Best Actress and Rue and Estelle both won Best Supporting Actress) and each of the actresses gets her turn to shine?

Actually, Betty, Rue, and Bea won for Lead Actress in that order and Estelle won for Supporting Actress.

I don't know about the DH women being as adored as the GG women. IMO, someone like Eva Longoria is not award worthy, just by watching DH you can observe she's not as skilled at her craft as her cast mates.

While Teri's not a superb actress, she's certainly passable.

Can you guys imagine if Felicity wins a Golden Globe for Lead Actress in a Motion Picture (Drama) and wins one for DH? She's also getting strong Oscar buzz, so you never know. Just as long as she doesn't turn into another Helen Hunt....

that is true, I think Eva is by far the least skilled of the actresses.

I doubt Felicity will go all Helen Hunt, the movie she's getting such raves for is an independent flick, she's more into taking roles with great scripts, while Helen Hunt was taking on big-budget epics like Twister. If Felicity wins an Oscar, I doubt it'd cause her to tell her co-stars to go to hell, she seems more grounded and less showy than that.

My votes (if I had a vote )

BEST TELEVISION SERIES - DRAMA...I'm not especially fond of any of these, though Commander-in-Chief and Lost are good.

My vote:

c. LOST (ABC)
Touchstone Television

BEST PERFORMANCE BY AN ACTRESS IN A TELEVISION SERIES - DRAMA...I was worried that it was going to be stunt casting, but she did an incredible job, shining brightest in a stellar cast.

The vote:

BEST PERFORMANCE BY AN ACTOR IN A TELEVISION SERIES - DRAMA...I've only seen one of these performers (Matthew Fox in Lost) so no vote here.

a. PATRICK DEMPSEY GREY’S ANATOMY

b. MATTHEW FOX LOST

c. HUGH LAURIE HOUSE

d. WENTWORTH MILLER PRISON BREAK

e. KIEFER SUTHERLAND 24

BEST TELEVISION SERIES - MUSICAL OR COMEDY...some good shows here, but one of them is an absolute riot. I like My Name is Earl a lot, too.

The vote:

d. EVERYBODY HATES CHRIS (UPN)
Chris Rock Enterprises, Inc. and 3 Arts Entertainment i.a.w Paramount Network Television.

BEST PERFORMANCE BY AN ACTRESS IN A TELEVISION SERIES - MUSICAL OR COMEDY...no vote here. DH is a decent show, and I have always loved the work by Marcia Cross and Felicity Huffman, but this is too much.

a. MARCIA CROSS DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES

b. TERI HATCHER DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES

c. FELICITY HUFFMAN DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES

d. EVA LONGORIA DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES

e. MARY-LOUISE PARKER WEEDS

BEST PERFORMANCE BY AN ACTOR IN A TELEVISION SERIES - MUSICAL OR COMEDY...actually, I thought this one was pretty easy (though I'm sure MANY people will disagree with my vote )

The vote:

d. JASON LEE MY NAME IS EARL

BEST MINI-SERIES OR MOTION PICTURE MADE FOR TELEVISION

The vote:

c. LACKAWANNA BLUES (HBO)
Bellah Films, Good Shepard Prods. i.a.w. HBO Films

BEST PERFORMANCE BY AN ACTRESS IN A MINI-SERIES OR A MOTION PICTURE MADE FOR TELEVISION...easy choice again.

The vote:

c. S. EPATHA MERKERSON LACKAWANNA BLUES

BEST PERFORMANCE BY AN ACTOR IN A MINI-SERIES OR A MOTION PICTURE MADE FOR TELEVISION

The vote:

a. KENNETH BRANAGH WARM SPRINGS

BEST PERFORMANCE BY AN ACTRESS IN A SUPPORTING ROLE IN A SERIES, MINI-SERIES OR MOTION PICTURE MADE FOR TELEVISION...haven't seen enough of the performances to have an opinion here (though I think Sandra Oh has done a great job)

a. CANDICE BERGEN BOSTON LEGAL

b. CAMRYN MANHEIM ELVIS

c. SANDRA OH GREY’S ANATOMY

d. ELIZABETH PERKINS WEEDS

e. JOANNE WOODWARD EMPIRE FALLS

BEST PERFORMANCE BY AN ACTOR IN A SUPPORTING ROLE IN A SERIES, MINI-SERIES OR MOTION PICTURE MADE FOR TELEVISION...he loses out in the leading actor for a mini-series above, but his eely characterization wins here.

The vote:

e. DONALD SUTHERLAND COMMANDER IN CHIEF
