The speculation was that due to the corona ABC would keep more shows but instead canceled more than expected, including Schooled wich no one predicted would be canceled.
Now I'm really not surprised as in the reason why it was cancelled.

Me neither. I was shocked Schooled was canceled because the ratings weren't that bad. However if this is true then it makes sense.

What I read was this:

The response of the viewers was not good enough for season two. The second season only received 69 percent ratings from the 3.15 million viewers.

Yeah but it was still ABC's 4th or 5th rated sitcom. It didn't have great ratings but most shows today don't either. I did hear however, that originally Schooled was going to be a 13 episode show, basically a limited series. When it came to renewal they gave Adam F Goldberg two choices: either give the Goldbergs a multiyear renewal and cancel Schooled or renew both shows and he went with renew both. As a huge Goldbergs fan will state that part of the problem was that they spun it off so late in the gain. The Goldbergs still does decent in the ratings but several years ago was doing very well in the ratings and that was when they started talking a spin off. Had they done that, it would have had higher ratings.

I think in the fall we are going to see more remote shows. For example, if they do Dancing it might be from someone's house or everyone wears masks. Same with the singing shows because singing can be done at home.

I do wonder how Dancing With The Stars is going to be done though.

Yeah could be interesting. Not sure I'll watch because I like Bergeron and don't especially like Banks. Depends on who they have.

I like Banks, but I don’t think that she’ll make a great host. I did read however that Jordan Fisher did find the casting choice of Tyra to be odd.

I do too, and I question how it affects the show. I think we will see changes which will change the show.
