Following guidance from the California government, Gen-TV has resumed production on all programming earlier than expected. The studio opened the gates to its Los Angeles production lot on Friday for the first time since production was shut-down in March due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Shocking industry insiders, Gen-TV has fully opened up production on all of its programming far ahead of the proposed August date originally announced earlier this month.

On Friday, 11 of Gen-TV's series returned to various states of production, and the remainder are expected to follow suit within the next two and a half weeks. The series that were filming on Friday included "Having Faith", "Deadly Visions" and "Ready To Wear."

Gen-TV says "we are following all protocols, guidelines and regulations in regards to social distancing, testing and use of personal protective equipment such as face masks and gloves."

This news is unexpected as so far only one other TV series has resumed production; CBS's daytime soap opera "The Bold & Beautiful" which shut-down production after less than a day due to "a need to strengthen testing protocols."

The decision for Gen-TV to resume production was made by Amy Fung-Wilson, who is the head of Gen-TV's COVID-19 Response Team. The decision has been widely condemned by many including industry insiders at rival networks NBC, CBS and CW.
Gen-TV Shuts Down Production:
---2 Crew Members Test Positive

After defying industry expectations and opening up production on all their series, Gen-TV has been forced to temporarily shut down again after two crew members on "Deadly Visions" tested positive for COVID-19.

This positive test for two crew members was reported to Gen-TV brass on Monday and has forced a complete shutdown of production for all Gen-TV programming; which Gen-TV brass says "is entirely temporary and should be resolved within the next two days." "We just want to provide our crew and cast more chances to get tested and will resume production when we have that option in place."

The legal problem now for Gen-TV is that they may face state sanctions for reopening production ahead of schedule and largely without approval from the state. Despite what press releases claim, there was no approval from the state of California and nobody at Gen-TV contacted the Governor's office for approval. A spokesperson for the Governor's office stated "Gen-TV is in complete noncompliance with state regulations and acted without regard for human life." "We are taking this matter very seriously and will be investigating thoroughly."

As a result, Gen-TV has already announced the termination of their COVID-19 response leader Amy Fung-Wilson who was the figurehead that authorized the reopening of the network. Gen-TV President Margo Danbury announced "We have officially terminated Amy Fung-Wilson from our employment." "She acted recklessly and without care towards human life." "She is no longer employed by Gen-TV and has agreed to forfeit her entire yearly bonus and to decline the expected severance package that her contract allowed her to collect. Instead of collecting a package worth millions, she has agreed to a smaller fee of just 10,000 dollars and to walk away from Gen-TV forever."

"On a personal note I am extremely disappointed in her lack of judgement and callous attitude towards human life." "As someone who mentored her I am disgusted at the decisions she made that were entirely based on greed." "She should be ashamed of herself."

Gen-TV Production Resumes
---Shows Filming Again

Gen-TV Studios has allowed production on all their series to resume after temporarily shutting down again due to two crew members testing positive for COVID-19. In an effort to secure more testing and put in place more social distancing and safety protocols the studio is satisfied and able to resume production.

That said, since reopening production last month, Gen-TV series are said to be "far ahead of the curve in terms of having episodes filmed and edited for next season." Sources close to the network say "we are confident that we will be the first major broadcast network to have full seasons worth of episodes in the bank far ahead of schedule."

Even series that are not schedule to air until early 2021 are said to be "almost completely finished or nearly finished production for next seasons episodes." Soap opera "Promise of Tomorrow" won't even debut until 2021 but this daytime drama revival is said to "have enough episodes already filmed and edited in post-production to last until next summer." "We have almost a years worth of episodes already filmed and in various stages of editing" said Gen-TV President Margo Danbury.

Default Promise of Tomorrow Updates

Gen-TV is assuring fans of beloved daytime drama "Promise of Tomorrow" that the planned reboot of the series, is still in the works and will still be coming to our screens. However, it is going to be arriving a bit later than originally planned.

The initial plan was for the reboot to debut in Fall 2020, but due to the production shutdown that prematurely ended the season, Gen-TV is forced to postpone the relaunch of this franchise until 2021. Confirming the state of affairs for the show, Gen-TV's Vice President Amy Fung-Wilson said today "Promise of Tomorrow is still very much on our radar and remains in active development, but due to the current work stoppage we have been forced to postpone airing it until next year." "Promise of Tomorrow will return in 2021, and will more daring and exciting than ever before."

That said, Gen-TV is reportedly in the process of recruiting daytime heavyweights to headline the refreshed version of the show. Sources tell us the cast of the series reboot will be comprised of roughly 60% former cast members and roughly 40% new cast members. While not much is yet known about which former cast members will be present, what has been confirmed is that "Gen-TV is looking at this as a major reset for the soap opera and is planning on making some very hard trims to the cast and focusing on only a few core characters who are fundamental and vital to the show continuing." "Fans will be a bit shocked at some of the characters that will be cut and who will return."

Speculation has been running wild in soap opera groups that "Gen-TV is going to eliminate all of the older characters over the age of 40 and focus only on the younger cast members who come with less expensive salaries." One thing giving this theory some credence is a statement made by Gen-TV Executives back in 2017, a year after the show was cancelled "One of the reasons we had to cancel Promise of Tomorrow is that from a financial standpoint it just wasn't sustainable anymore in the form it was in." "The cast salaries were just getting too high and that is because it included a lot of actors who have worked in daytime for decades and command huge salaries." "With the ratings it was getting at the time the cost of those salaries just didn't measure up to make the show profitable."

One cast member who has already confirmed they will not be returning for the reboot is Vanessa Marcil, who joined the cast of the show in 2016 with a lucrative contract worth over a million dollars and played the role of presumed heroine turned quasi-villainess Nessa Gordon. The character who was supposed drive ratings up and serve as a lighting rod for the storyline ended up making little impact and was quietly dropped from the show less than three months into the contract." "Vanessa was dropped from the show and released from her contract prior to the shows cancellation later that year."

Marcil confirmed through her representatives that "Vanessa will not be part of the Promise of Tomorrow reboot because she simply has not been asked by producers to join the cast." Later clarifying "Vanessa thoroughly enjoyed her role on Promise of Tomorrow but has long since put Nessa Gordon to bed and is in a different stage of her life now and just simply would not be able to readjust to the rigors of daily soap opera production again."

Robin Strasser, who played psychopath and town pariah Lucinda Becksworth on the show has also confirmed that she "will not be apart of the reboot, simply because she enjoys her life in New York and does not want to move to Los Angeles to a long-term role." "and also, Lucinda is very much dead, not that it matters much in the soap opera world."

A Hollywood Insider Report

Although it isn't planned to debut on air until 2021, Gen-TV's revival of beloved soap opera "Promise of Tomorrow" is in full swing and we've got some huge announcements about the show today, all confirmed by Gen-TV Executives, only for Hollywood Insider.

The first piece of exciting news is about storyline. Although the reboot was ordered to series before the pandemic and production had begun shortly before in February, Gen-TV confirms that the COVID-19 shut-down did impact the planned storyline for the series. "We absolutely had to alter the planned storyline for the series." says new Executive Producer/Head Writer Sally Sussman Morina, who also said "COVID-19 and the shut-down will be an integral part of our storytelling and will be one of the major plot points of the revival." "We will see our characters from the sunny town of Crestview, Florida deal with the very real impact of the shutdown and its economic, social, health and legal consequences."

Although she won't reveal exactly who it is she does preview "At least one of our beloved characters who was always a successful business person will see their beloved family business shutter because of the shutdown and will go from riches to rags as a result." "This character, who was always afforded the luxury of wealth will have to start from scratch and rebuild their life."

And she also teases "It wouldn't be a soap opera if some beloved characters weren't killed off." "In order to pump some new life into this series, several characters from the original show will be sacrificed to make room for new characters to shine and to provide a natural jumping off point."

She continues "Although we are aware of how sensitive and upsetting this real life tragedy is, it has provided us a natural starting point for a dramatic serial."

Up until now Gen-TV has remained totally silent about which cast members would be returning for the reboot and who would not be. But now we can officially confirm that two original cast members have signed on to return to the series. Jacob Young will reprise his role of Rylan Cortland on the series and Jeff Branson will return to the role of Ryan Cristoff-Holland.

They have also confirmed that Kelly Ripa will appear in a recurring capacity (as her schedule allows) reprising the roles of twins Shane and Sydney Davies.

In addition to these returns, Gen-TV is ready to confirm the casting of three actors to appear in new roles. Soap opera veterans Erika Slezak (One Life To Live's Viki), Justin Deas (Guiding Light's Buzz) and Kristian Alfonso (Days of our Lives Hope) have been cast in brand new roles, though word is mum on the actual scope of those characters or their storyline.

Additional casting will be announced at a later date.

Delayed Ratings for week of Sunday, June 14-Saturday, June 20, 2020

Sunday, June 14:

Gen-TV aired an altered schedule to accommodate stretching episodes out over the remainder of the summer. They aired back to back reruns of "Ready To Wear" and "Kate & Ali" followed by recap specials for each. "Ready To Wear" fared better overall; outperforming "Kate & Ali." At 10pm, they aired the "Boston Blues" series finale, which originally streamed online at Stream-ME, but managed to net 17.5 in demos.

8pm: Ready To Wear (Rerun): Ratings Not Available

830: Kate & Ali (Rerun): Ratings Not Available

9pm Ready To Wear: Recap Special (New): 20.3 million/12.8 (12.83) 18-49

Monday, June 15:

Gen-TV chose to air an altered schedule on Monday; airing two episodes of "Breaking Blue" (one original, one rerun) followed by a brand new "Behind The Scenes" special about "Breaking Blue." The original episode of "Blue" was up in demos and total viewers and the BTS special was a solid performer as well.

Tuesday, June 16:

Gen-TV also aired an altered schedule on Tuesday, airing a brand new "Atlanta Medical" followed by a rerun of "Atlanta Medical" and a BTS special about the show. Sadly this didn't help much as "Atlanta Medical" dropped in demos and total viewers over last week and the new special wasn't able to gain much traction either.

8pm: Atlanta Medical (New): 15.1 million/6.5 (6.54) 18-49

9pm: Atlanta Medical (Rerun): Ratings Not Available

10: Atlanta Medical: Season 2 Secrets Special (New; Special): 11.1 million/2.8 (2.81) 18-49

Friday, July 3:

Gen-TV aired a specially produced "fourth of july" installment of "Climb The Pyramid" (Editor's Note: The 4th of July episode was filmed back in October of 2019; well before the COVID-19 Pandemic and that is why it was able to air and made no mention of the pandemic.), which was a big hit in demos and up in total viewers.

The network also aired a special "Zoom" edition of "Ready To Wear" featuring Zooey Deschanel and Wendie Malick. It garnered respectable ratings and was a solid success in demos, where it ranked #2 for the evening among females 18-35. Gen-TV News:
-Fall Casting for Gen-TV

While the remainder of the TV industry remains in a state of limbo, Gen-TV Studios (and with it Gen-TV Network) has decided to move forward with its planned slate of programs for Fall and with that has started casting for its high profile series. Gne-TV President Margo Danbury says "Being one of the only networks who will have original programming ready to air through the fall and winter will give Gen-TV a huge advantage over our competitors and we believe this strategy is going to pay off for us."

With that in mind, Gen-TV is ready to announce some big casting news for both freshmen and returning programming:

"Roomies":

This returning comedy (which just barely got a second season due to COVID-19) is getting a boost of star power which Gen-TV hopes will "propell the series into the cultural conversation in a way it hasn't been before." The season one cast has been fired and the focus of the show will shift to two brand new "roomies" who will be played by Mindy Kaling ("The Mindy Project", "The Office") and Jake T Austin ("The Fosters", "Wizards of Waverly Place") who will star as "polar opposites who end up as accidental roommates in a New York apartment after a mix-up at the real estate office." Kaling will also take over duties as Executive Producer and Showrunner for this series, which she says "will focus on how two extremely different people from different walks of life can learn to relay on each other, learn from each other and become the family they've always been seeking."

"Raised By Wolves":

Freshmen comedy "Raised By Wolves" has found its mom and dad, casting comedian/writer/actor Josh Wolf ("Raising Hope", "Chelsea Lately", "My Name Is Earl") as the father in this "family comedy about a newly adopted black son trying to adjust to life with his new adopted, white family."

Meanwhile, they have turned to Alyson Hannigan ("How I Met Your Mother") who previously starred on the first season of Gen-TV's "Baker's Dozen" to star as the mom in this new series.

"Snitches":

This freshmen crime drama about a criminal informant has cast Giovanni Ribisi as the lead a character, a career criminal who is forced to become a criminal informant when he learns the mob boss he works for is planning on murdering him.

Ribisi recently finished a three season run on Amazon's "Sneaky Pete" and is a veteran of TV with credits as far ranging as "Friends", "Entourage", "My Name Is Earl" and "A Million Little Pieces."

Additional casting information will be announced soon as Gen-TV continues the process.

"Snitches":

---Gen-TV Shocker
---Leslie Jones To Replace Kristen Wiig on "Boss Lady"

In a fairly big shock, Gen-TV has confirmed that Kristen Wiig will leave her starring role on "The Boss Lady" ahead of the series fourth season premiere in the fall. The studio confirms this was Kristen's decision and was made by her for creative and personal reasons. Wiig's representatives were contacted for this story and they sent over a statement from Kristen that said "I have enjoyed working on The Boss Lady for the last three seasons and has been completely grateful for all the accolades and support I've received from fans and from the industry for this role." "But I have decided it is time for me to move onto other opportunities and to find other creative outlets."

The exit of Kristen Wiig does not mean the series is ending. In fact Gen-TV is
confirming that fellow SNL alumni Leslie Jones has been cast to replace Wiig as the series new lead star; marking Joneses first high profile casting since leaving SNL in 2019. Jones will play the new boss of the company who takes over after "the original mistake that landed Wiig's character the job is discovered and quickly rectified in a hilarious and fitting way." Wiig is slated to briefly reprise her role in an effort to conclude her storyline, she will appear in two episodes of the fourth season, billed as a guest star.

For her work on the series, Wiig has earned wins from the Best of TV Awards and has earned wins from the Writer's Guild Awards and the Producers Guild Awards. In 2018 she earned a Peabody Award for her work on the show and in 2019 she won a Humanitas Award for writing and producing the series.

'The Boss Lady" has proven to be a huge success for Gen-TV, quickly becoming a breakthrough hit in its freshmen season and cementing itself as a reliable performer that has managed to sustain its audience. Wiig stars as a eccentric free spirit who mistakenly becomes the CEO of a luxury goods company after a freak mix-up. The series originated with a dark and sarcastic tone, and played Wiig's character as being a bit more menacing and evil than in subsequent seasons; as the shows tone has softened.

THE HOLLYWOOD INSIDER

YTN CONTINUES TO PUSH FORWARD FOR FALL –
PLUS: NO NEW SERIES UNTIL 2021

As we head into August, YTN still has not released a fall schedule. The network confirms a schedule will be announced this month, as production statuses continue to shift during the COVID pandemic.

SUCCESS WITH PRODUCTION
There have been some changes over at the set of The Agency. The entire cast and crew have been tested for COVID three times over the course of the last two weeks, filming seven (7) episodes. With the success of production, everyone has agreed to stay in a bubble together, filming the final 6 episodes of the 16-episode second season (the other three (3) episodes were filmed in February/March). Once production wraps on all the episodes, the cast and crew will return home, likely having the next year off.

MOVING FORWARD WITH PRODUCTION
Thanks to the success on the few series, YTN is moving forward with production on shows where the cast and crew have agreed to quarantine. YTN also based the decision on the availability of testing, noting results are currently taking 4-6 days to arrive.

The cast and crew of Bloodlines, College, High Times of Denver, Parkway Motel, Revolution, Sanchez’s in the Suburbs, and TAKEN went into 14 day quarantine a week ago. Filming began on the seven series today, as the final COVID test came back for everyone on the cast and crew. YTN executives decided these series would be the easiest to begin production on, as all have smaller main casts than other series on the network.

Things will remain fluid on production for every YTN series. Similar to The Agency, the cast and crew for the aforementioned series will remain in a quarantine bubble for at least one month, and film as many episodes as possible. If at any time a member of the cast or crew feels unsafe, production will shut down. The goal is to film at least four episodes of each series, and if the entire cast and crew unanimously agrees to remain on set, they will continue filming. Otherwise, production will shut down for three weeks, let everyone return home, and then proceed with another production quarantine bubble. All of the series have at least seven episodes written prior to the start of production, with many writers continuing to work from remote locations.

NO PRODUCTION UNTIL 2021
YTN also confirmed the following series would not begin production until at least late 2020/early 2021: the previously announced Cops of Miami, and TAKEN: Phoenix, as well as Grandparents, CIA Files, LAPD Unit 7, and Serve and Protect. The former three series shoot on location, and have not been given the go-ahead to begin discussing a plan to start production. As for Grandparents, the series’ two older leads (60+) both have pre-existing health conditions and approached the network about suspending production for the foreseeable future. YTN decided it was the right move to temporarily suspend production on these six series. The network reaffirmed three times that all the series will film any remaining episodes from last season + 26 episodes this season – even if it means more rollover next season.

WHAT'S NEXT?
There is no timetable for the remaining YTN series to begin production. Network executives said they hope to eventually continue production without a quarantine bubble, but that looks unlikely for the future. Any series that does begin production for the foreseeable future will have to proceed with a standard two (2) week quarantine before filming. There have been rumblings that Blended, Mother & Daughter, and Soccer Stories are next in line to begin production.

Two series on YTN’s slate, Asylum and Newsflash, were not scheduled to start production until at least November 2020 for a midseason 2021 premiere, so they have not been interrupted yet. Despite that, the cast and crew of the two series have also been given the option to proceed with a quarantine production bubble.

As for the rest of its fall schedule, YTN lucked out in its relationship with GEN-TV. Unlike YTN, GEN-TV began production on all of its series last week, including GEN-TV produced series that air on YTN. Insiders tell us nearly every series produced by GEN-TV will likely find its way onto the fall schedule. YTN said of the partnership, “We are lucky to work with a partner like GEN-TV. They produce high quality television series, and we are excited to air them on our network.”

Insiders tell us to expect a schedule for fall in the next two weeks. YTN executives want to see how filming proceeds over the next week and a half before putting together an official schedule. The hope is to have enough episodes to fill approximately one month of the network schedule.

NO NEW SERIES
Finally, YTN confirmed they would not debut any new series for fall 2020. “The logistics of starting up a new series in the era of COVID is a lot more difficult than bringing back veteran series”, said the President of YTN. “We believe we have enough programming in the vault for the fall, and that we can eventually get a few new series on the air in February or March.” The network had six pilots ready to film for April, but never got to that point when YTN shutdown production on all of its series in March. The network will decide whether or not to move forward with any of the six pilots (four comedies and two dramas) later this year.

Default School's Out for Gen-TV

Breaking News:
-Gen-TV Shuts Down "High School Diaries"

Gen-TV President Margo Danbury confirmed today a very shocking piece of news, Gen-TV has cancelled the entire "High School Diaries" franchise stating "The uncertainty of the world today makes filming this series an impossible task and a safety hazard we just don't feel is worth the risk."

The hit reality franchise which films in and around California high schools has proven to be a huge success for the network generating nearly 65 million viewers per episode and spawning three iterations of the series. However, despite its success the series was controversial with some critics concerned that the series exploits its teenage cast members and puts them in dangerous situations. The entire franchise was expected to return in 2021, but Gen-TV has decided to pull the plug entirely due to the safety issues surrounding COVID-19 in schools.

Danbury continued "Financially losing this franchise is a big loss for Gen-TV Studios as it was a significant source of revenue for our studio; and last year comprised nearly 38% of Gen-TV Studios overall revenue." "But the safety of our cast members is most important, and in this case the cast members are all teenagers who need to worry about living their lives and surviving this pandemic without the added pressures of filming a reality series." "The door is always open to relaunch the franchise if the pandemic is resolved."

Default Gen-TV Cancels "Climb The Pyramid"

Breaking News:
--Gen-TV Cancels "Climb The Pyramid"

Comedy-Game Show "Climb The Pyramid" and it's spin-off "Climb The Pyramid: Family Edition" have officially been cancelled at Gen-TV. Both have aired on Gen-TV since 2017 where they have produced four seasons each, and becoming staples of Gen-TV's summer schedule. Originally debuting on YTN Network, the first version of "Climb The Pyramid" was quickly cancelled and Gen-TV bought the rights to the series outright, and after extensive retooling it debuted in summer 2017 and quickly became a huge hit.

Ratings for both series have remained solid and consistent, making the cancellation both unexpected and bewildering. A renewal seemed likely for both. Both series are currently in the middle of their fourth seasons now, which are expected to wrap up airing later this month.

Gen-TV President Margo Danbury confirmed the cancellation saying "Climb The Pyramid has been a roaring success for Gen-TV and there is no denying that fact; but all good things must come to an end sometime and the end has come for Climb The Pyramid and Climb The Pyramid: Family Edition."

Sources in Gen-TV declined to provide comment as to why these series are being cancelled, but industry sources outside Gen-TV suggest that "the pandemic simply made producing these shows impossible since they require a studio audience and contestants to be in close proximity to each other."

"It is entirely possible that Gen-TV would revive the franchise if the pandemic were under control and social distancing restrictions weren't required anymore" suggested another source.

--Gen-TV Axes Summer Series
--Network Cancels Four; Renews Two

On the heels of cancelling major franchises "High School Diaries" and "Climb The Pyramid" comes confirmation from Gen-TV that they have axed four more summer series. "Atlanta Medical", "Without Borders", "Soapless: Life After Daytime" and "Celebrity Cooking Battles" have all been cancelled.

These summer staples were axed for a variety of reasons, but the major factor being "the need to freshen up and overhaul our summer line-up before it grows stale and old."

Ratings for "Atlanta Medical", a second-year drama were steady but Margo Danbury, Gen-TV's President suggests "steady isn't the same as showing growth, and Atlanta Medical showed no signs of further growth or potential to become a signature hit." Also, the series is costly for a program that isn't showing growth; it boasts a cast of well respected performers including Sanaa Lathan, Eva Longoria, Michael Weston and Jay Hernandez to name just some of the ensemble cast. It seems another factor in the decision to cancel this show was Lathan's desire to move onto other projects as she felt "Atlanta Medical did not end up being the show that she believed she was singing onto; and creatively ended up in a different place than anticipated."

"Without Borders", a signature reality docudrama has been cancelled, not due to ratings which are still high but due to logistics issues with filming the show during the pandemic. "Producing this show has just become impossible due to the travel restrictions in our country, making it difficult for our American crew to travel overseas to film." "And with all that is going on in the world right now the valuable doctors of doctors without borders have more important things to do than worry about a reality TV crew."

"Soapless: Life After Daytime" actually showed remarkable growth this season, but has been cancelled due to Gen-TV's desire to take their summer programming in a different direction. "Soapless has been a huge success for Gen-TV but it has completed its contract and we have chosen not to renew the series beyond that." said a Gen-TV representative. The situation is remarkably similar for "Celebrity Cooking Battles" which has been done filming for over a year and a half now and was never expected to return for a seventh season. "Gen-TV ended up shelving two full seasons of CCB due to various scheduling issues, and ended up saving the sixth season until summer 2020." "Though ratings were superb, we have chosen to retire this particular franchise at the completion of its contract as has been the plan for nearly two years."

Now for the good news, Gen-TV has renewed two summer programs. Signature anthology program "The Hardest Goodbye" will return next year for its seventh season. That series had been renewed for three seasons back in 2017 which covered its fourth, fifth and sixth seasons. It has remained a stable performer, and a critical darling, attracting awards attention and the approval of A-List actors who have regularly been cast on the series.

Next up, Gen-TV has renewed teen surfing drama "Breaking Blue" for a third season. The Australia set-soap opera has proven itself to be a remarkable performer and a hugely popular show with the desired demographic of Females 18-35. Due to the fact that it is filmed in Australia and utilizes an Australian film crew it is a very easy series for Gen-TV to film during the pandemic and has remained in production throughout. In fact filming for the third season has already been underway since April.

Since Amy Fung-Wilson has been moved over to the role of overseeing Gen-TV's COVID-19 Response Team, and tasked with bringing the network and studio back into financial solvency the search has been on to find a replacement in the role of Vice President, Gen-TV Studios.

Well, after an extensive search and discussions with several high-profile names, Gen-TV has finally confirmed a new Vice President.

Timothy Carver Jackson has been named to succeed Amy-Fung Wilson in the role. Jackson comes to Gen-TV from Houston, Texas where he mostly recently spent three years as news director for a local CBS affiliate. Prior to that he has a diverse and expansive resume in the industry including ten years as a creative consultant for NBC's "Days of Our Lives", five years as a unit producer for ABC News, where he mostly worked on "Good Morning America" and "The View" and he also spent three and a half years at CBS where he served as a consulting producer and floated through various CBS series including "The Bold & Beautiful", "The Big Bang Theory", "New Adventures of Old Christine" and "60 Minutes."

Jackson is 66 years old and has a solid reputation within the industry.

Gen-TV Shake-Up:
--V.P. Fired for "Failure to Perform Duties"

Gen-TV President Margo Danbury has formally announced that she has fired Gen-TV Vice President Timothy Carver Jackson who assumed that role in May as she found "He was unable to perform his duties to my and the board's satisfaction." "Timothy was simply underqualified for the role he took on and was in over his head."

The position will not be vacant for long as Danbury has already appointed Jake Hawking to the role. Hawking, a former executive member of the Gen-TV board of directors and currently a voting member of the board is well known and well liked by all at Gen-TV and his appointment is being seen by insiders as "a huge get for the network and a big step forward for the studio."

Timothy Carver Jackson did not return calls for comment about this story and sources say he has already vacated the role and plans to leave Los Angeles to return to his hometown in Texas. Sources indicate this was an amicable split and that he holds no hard feelings towards Gen-TV.
