The main roads and highways were cleared pretty fast, as soon as there is snow cover the snowplows are out. This year was the first year the plows even hit the side roads, so those are clear now too. But there is still tons of snow on the ground in our yard.

I know! Love it when it's not on the roads, and the trees are covered.

Those caves look pretty spooky. Did you see any bats? We have them at Dunbar Cave in our area.

Didn't see any bats while we were there, but they have stations set up for cleaning your footwear before going in and after coming out, it's to reduce the chance of fungus being brought in to the cave which can cause the bats to get 'white nose syndrome'.

Last weekend my daughter and I went to the Oregon coast (very north west part of Oregon), one of the things we did was visit the wreck of the Peter Iredale, a ship than ran ashore in 1906.

This top picture is from 1906.

The rest we took last Saturday.

^ Not much left of the ship after all these years but it still looks pretty interesting. ^

It'd be interesting to see what it looked like from each decade from when it first ran ashore to now.

^ It's possible someone may have photographed it through the years showing how it changed but I don't know how you'd find out. If there's a town nearby they might have info about it.

I've never been to the Northwest so seeing your pictures are a treat. Hope you'll keep posting them.

Next time I'm in the area, I should check out their local museum.

I will
