Roseanne Barr coined the term "domestic goddess" — which became the foundation for her future, self-titled sitcom — while working the comedy club circuit in the late '70s and early '80s. By the mid-'80s, she appeared on both "The Tonight Show" and "Late Night with David Letterman" and had impressed the talk show hosts and millions of viewers. Thanks to the success of those short routines and an award-winning HBO comedy special, Barr landed her own sitcom, "Roseanne," which premiered in the fall of 1988. Following a well-deserved reign atop the ratings, an Emmy win for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series (1993), and innumerable public controversies, her groundbreaking show came to an end in the spring of 1997, after nine stellar seasons on ABC. During her tenure on the series, Barr found time to participate in a handful of films, including "She-Devil" and "Look Who's Talking Too," hosted "Saturday Night Live" three times, and guest-starred in "A Different World," "General Hospital," and "Third Rock from the Sun." A year after leaving the scripted sitcom world behind, Barr hosted her own critically-maligned talk show, "The Roseanne Show," from 1998 to 2000. In the years since, she has returned to her roots as a world-traveling standup comedian and has penned a few books, including the best-seller and must-read "Roseannearchy: Dispatches from the Nut Farm." On July 13, Barr's latest project, "Roseanne's Nuts," premiered on Lifetime. The reality show — which features Barr and her boyfriend living and working on a 40-acre macadamia nut farm on the Big Island of Hawaii — premiered to strong ratings and has reunited the domestic goddess with her adoring fans.

Before being cast as Roseanne's lovable lug of a husband, Dan Conner, John Goodman had starred in a number of TV shows and quite a few high-profile films, including 1984's "Revenge of the Nerds" and 1987's "The Big Easy" and "Raising Arizona." A few years later, he found himself on TV's top-rated program, "Roseanne," in which he appeared in 221 of the show's 222 episodes. Though he never won the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series Emmy (after being nominated seven times), compared to his fellow "Roseanne" alums Goodman has had the most successful career in Hollywood since the show wrapped. He has had a recurring role on "Futurama" since 2000, guest-starred on "The West Wing," won an Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series Emmy for his work on "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip," and appeared in more than 40 major motion pictures, including "The Big Lebowski," "Monsters, Inc.," "Cars," and "Evan Almighty." Last year, Goodman played Creighton Bernette on the first season of HBO's "Treme," and he currently stars as Glenn Close's latest rival, Howard T. Erickson, on the fourth season of "Damages." Later this year, he'll be seen in director Kevin Smith's much buzzed about independent horror film, "Red State," and on the third season of the NBC sitcom "Community."

Lecy Goranson (aka Becky No. 1) starred on "Roseanne" as Roseanne and Dan's elder, uptight daughter from 1988 to 1996. At the beginning of the show's fifth season (in '92), the then 18-year-old left Hollywood for Vassar College but appeared sporadically until the beginning of the sixth season when she was replaced by Sarah Chalke (aka Becky No. 2), who appeared in the show's sixth and seventh seasons. Goranson returned full-time for the eighth season, which was expected to be the show's last. She committed to a one-year deal and left the show, once again, when it was picked up for a ninth and final season. At that point, Chalke replaced Goranson for the second time. After her departure from the show, Goranson has maintained a low profile in the entertainment industry, having appeared in only a handful of guest spots, with the last one being on Fox's sci-fi series "Fringe" in 2009. Goranson, now 37, lives in Brooklyn, New York.

Sara Gilbert grew up in an acting family (her siblings Melissa and Jonathan starred in "Little House on the Prairie"). After appearing in a few minor TV roles and commercials, Gilbert landed the role of a lifetime: Roseanne and Dan's sarcastic middle child, Darlene, for the show's entire run from 1988 to 1997. During her tenure on the groundbreaking program, Gilbert won three Young Artist Awards and was nominated for an Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series Emmy in 1993 (she lost to her onscreen aunt, Laurie Metcalf). Since "Roseanne," the actress has worked steadily on TV, headlining The WB's failed sitcom "Twins" and guest-starring on a number of shows, including "The Big Bang Theory" (alongside her former TV boyfriend, Johnny Galecki). For the past year, she has done double duty as the executive producer and co-host of CBS' chat fest, "The Talk." Gilbert publicly came out as a lesbian over a year ago and has been in a relationship with TV producer Allison Adler since 2002. The couple are the proud parents of a 6-year-old son, Levi, and a 4-year-old daughter, Sawyer.

Michael Fishman spent nearly his entire childhood on the set of "Roseanne," playing Roseanne and Dan Conner's youngest (and most peculiar) child, D.J., from age 6 to 15. After the show, he continued to pursue an acting career while attending high school in Southern California. He reconnected with his TV mom as her cyber sidekick on the second season of "The Roseanne Show." Since then, Fishman has gotten married, had two kids, made brief appearances in films, including Steven Spielberg's "Artificial Intelligence: A.I.," and stepped behind the camera as a set builder. In 2007, he and a group of fellow designers received an Outstanding Set Design/Art Direction Emmy nomination for Fox Sports Net's "Sport Science."

Laurie Metcalf appeared in a few made-for-TV movies and in 1985's "Desperately Seeking Susan" before landing her breakout role on "Roseanne," as the main character's younger, self-esteem-starved sister, Jackie Harris. During the show's epic run, Metcalf's hysterical performances earned her three consecutive Emmys for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series ('92-'94). Metcalf also found love on the set and married her co-star Matt Roth, who played Jackie's abusive boyfriend, Fisher, during the show's fifth season. Life after "Roseanne" has been kind to Metcalf, who has kept extremely busy with significant roles on "The Norm Show," "Monk," and "Desperate Housewives." She also has a thriving stage and screen career, recently appearing on Broadway in David Mamet's "November" and voicing characters in "Hop" and Pixar's "Toy Story 3."

During "Roseanne's" fourth season (1991), Johnny Galecki joined the cast as Darlene's artsy, on-again-off-again boyfriend (and eventual husband), David Healy. Ninety-two episodes later, Galecki moved on to a variety of high-profile film and TV projects, including the horror flick "I Know What You Did Last Summer" and the TBS sitcom "My Boys." In 2007, he landed his biggest role to date as nerdy physicist Leonard Hofstadter, the co-lead of CBS's ratings hit "The Big Bang Theory." Due to the success of his current show, Galecki now rakes in $250,000 per episode and was recently recognized by the Television Academy with an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series.

Sarah Chalke joined "Roseanne" as Becky Conner at the beginning of the show's sixth season, replacing Lecy Goranson (aka Becky No. 1). Chalke appeared in 70 episodes, mainly during the show's sixth and seventh seasons and in a handful of Season 8 episodes when Goranson was unavailable. Despite this awkward situation — which many fans found annoying — Chalke found success after "Roseanne." In 2001, she began a lucrative, 173-episode run on NBC's "Scrubs," which was followed by a nine-episode stint on "How I Met Your Mother" and a leading role on CBS's recently canceled "Mad Love." Chalke is currently engaged to a lawyer, who is the father of her 1-year-old son.

Long before she starred on "Roseanne" as Roseanne and Jackie's overbearing mother Beverly Harris, Estelle Parsons had carved out a rewarding career on Broadway, TV, and film. Parsons had three Tony nominations and an Oscar win (Best Supporting Actress for "Bonnie & Clyde") under her belt by the time she joined "Roseanne" in 1988. After nine seasons on the show, Parsons went on to earn her fourth Tony nomination ("Morning's at Seven"), played a leading role in Tracy Letts's "August: Osage County," and was inducted into the American Theatre Hall of Fame. Parsons, now 83, is currently on Broadway in the Tony-nominated "Good People."

Gay comedian Sandra Bernhard portrayed Nancy, Rosie's pal and co-owner of the Lanford Lunch Box, on 33 episodes of "Roseanne" between 1991 and 1997. After "Roseanne," the fiery redhead has guest-starred on a number of shows, most notably "Will & Grace" and "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit." In addition, she has mounted a number of wildly successful Broadway and Off-Broadway productions, including "I'm Still Here… Damn It!" and "Everything Bad & Beautiful." On August 10, Bernhard will reunite with Roseanne on a new, highly anticipated episode of "Roseanne's Nuts" before bringing her latest act to L.A.'s REDCAT at the Disney Concert Hall.

Three years before he became a household name (and two-time Emmy nominee) thanks to the success of "ER," George Clooney appeared in 11 episodes of "Roseanne," primarily during the first season. As Booker, the sexist foreman at Wellman Plastics, Clooney had the privilege of bossing around a beleaguered Roseanne and her sister Jackie. Following multiple stints on the small screen, the silver fox easily transitioned into a bona fide movie star, and even earned a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his work in 2005's "Syriana."

It would have been nice to see other recurring actors profiled, such as Martin Mull (Leon Carp), Natalie West (Crystal Anderson Conner), Michael O'Keefe (Fred), and Bonnie Bramlett (Bonnie the waitress). But it was fun seeing what the Llanford gang is up to these days.

I must admit I'm shocked - I had no idea that "Jackie" and "Fisher" later married in real life!!!! I still remember those chilling episodes.
