I wanted to cover everything. Chicago, Milwaukee, National. We have some scoops there. We're still the only ones who are reporting that MGM is distributing the network.

I hope it doesn't take MeTV forever to get national, lol. THIStv launched with more affiliates with various owners (I believe) and is now seen nationwide pretty much. I hope we hear some affiliates sometime next month. That is an absolute blockbuster library....the best out there, IMO. CBS is excellent. Warner and Sony are decent as well, but not as great for my taste when it comes to older shows.

I still think all of this will kill RTV eventually.

Will we hear of a mass defection of RTV stations deciding that Me-TV or Antenna TV has a better, more audience friendly lineup? Time will tell...

I think so. The up and coming networks are just so much better than RTV who has a poor business model and technological issues. Weigel has done a great job with MGM in getting THIS widespread. I think MeTV will see the same success in the next 18 months or so. They have a great track record so far.

I cannot applaud and thank Weigel enough for taking MeTV to this level - they are top-notch company with top-notch programming. Yes, I am rather biased as I love the CBS Television Distribution library.

I do know I have very rarely seen digital artifacts/fade out from This TV, but I see it a lot on RTV.

Question, is there a possibility some of the shows on MeTV could be edited? Is it like Antenna, that some of the copies could be edited that they receive?

I believe you'll see some edited, some not. I was watching Brady Bunch on Me-TV on ivi TV on Sunday and it looked edited I think. I think Chicago and Milwaukee viewers can answer this since they have Me-TV Network right now.

Thanks for the info, Pavan! I love to hear I'll get 2 marathons of Stooges (since Antenna TV will do one too) and it's always cool to watch Andy and the gang! I think last year they did a Perry Mason marathon; any news of that one coming? Thanks.

Perry Mason airs weekdays at 10:00AM and 11:30PM on MeTV.

Thanks Pav! I don't even care if they're edited....I'm just glad to see a lot of these airing somewhere again. I hope as we get in to the new year they will start signing affiliates....it didn't take thisTV that long, so hopefully it won't take MeTV that long either. Antenna TV is lucky to be owned by a company that already owns stations in major markets to place it on at launch.

I agree, it'll be nice to see some new material on Stooge-a-Palooza from Rich Koz. Should work out well! I sure hope you get it soon, since you'll enjoy it, if a station decides to run Me-TV.

Well, not quite everything! I liked reading both the Antenna TV and MeTV interviews but there was one bit of information that I badly wanted to know but wasn't covered. Right now, one of the biggest questions that keep getting asked among the group here concerns affiliates, specifically will either channel be offered in their hometown and when? I know that in both cases you'll need a little patience since not all the markets have been finalized and it may take a few weeks at the earliest before all the markets are set and the entire US is represented. What I want to know is, if both channels can go national why not make them international and have them reach north of the border? Is having both channels across Canada that much of a pipe dream or can it really be possible? I don't mind waiting but I am very afraid that it could be a long wait ahead.

They'd have to secure rights to those series in Canada, too. It would be difficult. It was hard enough securing broadcast rights for the U.S. Some of the older/rare shows (as Neal mentioned in the Me-TV interview) are really expensive on broadcast compared to cable.

I saw a promo for this one on Me-TV. I might have to see which shows they are showcasing in this "Firsts Marathon"
