Default "The Bachelor"

Watched this 1958 episode the othe night. Ozzie's friend, John Archer has avoided getting married, but with a nudge from O&H, he does take the plunge. Nice episode with Darby having some nice interplay with Ozzie.

That's the cutest episode! I love the part where Harriet is cooking dinner (turkey) and brings Ozzie his slippers and pipe and David walks in and asks: "Is that my pipe?" and Ricky is all, "What's going on?!"

How about when David smells the turkey and shouts: Is it Thanksgiving already?

This was a nice enough ep. & the ending was cutish but its not one of my all time favs - pleasant to watch once or twice but doesn't ring my bell like some eps that I have seen dozens of times - like "Wally's Traffic Ticket", "Fraternity Pin", "David and The Teenager", "Ricky The Drummer" - to name a few.

"Hey Harriet, did you hear the great news, the drummer's been taken sick!" After watching that ep, I went out and bought all the records of Tommy Jackson's band I could find

I also like the one where Ozzie sings "I Still Get a Thrill Thinkin' of You", Doc and Darb are off to the side eating cake, and Doc says "you know, I don't know when I've enjoyed anything better". Darb says "you mean Ozzie's singing?" and Doc says, chuckling "no, I mean the cake"

Yes "Ricky The Drummer" is indeed a charmer of an ep. Definitely one of my VERY FAVs!
