Certainly, the viewers didn't ask for that to happen. I'll just have to see what shows up on
the dvr. 4am is a little early to try and watch "live".
I have an old DVD recorder and it rolls daily at 7 (here, it's 7).

It might help to complain via the MeTV website, but I've had no luck with that before. They're just not responsive.

Long range, they are showing Mice Follies on Sat. 6/19, one of the three Honeymousers cartoons from McKimson. Up until then they have not shown any--the other two are The Honey-Mousers (1956) and Cheese It, The Cat (1957).

These cartoons have excellent characterizations of the Honeymooners characters, but as mice trying to outwit a cat.

Another mouse cartoon from McKimson they have yet to show--The Mouse That Jack Built. This has a mouse Jack Benny character being stalked by a cat, with some live-action Jack Benny at the end.

Well, I was just reading a description of this cartoon on Wikipedia. There could be some problems with the Rochester portrayal. I have it recorded probably from Kids WB, which may the the last time it was on TV. Before that it was in local TV syndication, not on Saturday morning network TV. It is on Golden Collection 3.

An interesting fact from Wikipedia: On this cartoon all the mouse voices were done by the live-action show's cast, including Mary Livingstone's final public performance. On the Honeymousers cartoons the voices were regular animation actors.

Notes on Toon In With Me -- 6/8/21

Warners today:

Pests for Guests -- a widely shown Elmer and Goofy Gophers cartoon, they are acting like chipmunks in this one, storing their nuts in Elmer's chest of drawers. First time on MeTV

Broom-Stick Bunny -- the 2nd Bugs with Witch Hazel, voiced by June Foray. Might be a MeTV debut.

Fresh Fish -- 1939 Tex Avery fish gags, narrated, looking from a glass bottom boat. Restored cartoon from titles found on Ebay in 2007--first time on MeTV.

Cat Feud -- late 50s Marc Anthony and Pussyfoot from Chuck Jones

A whole slew of Tex Avery early cartoons appear to have been restored from their Blue Ribbon reissues--these are all late 30s/early 40s toons which had their technical credits stripped. These were found on Ebay in 2007, probably part of his estate:

A Day at the Zoo (1939)
Of Fox and Hounds (1940)
The Isle of Pingo Pongo (1938)
Don't Look Now (1936)**
Wacky Wildlife (1940)
Johnny Smith and Poker-Huntas (1938)
Thugs With Dirty Mugs (1939)
A Feud There Was (1938)
The Early Worm Gets The Bird (1940)
Circus Today (1940)
The Mice Will Play (1938)
Fresh Fish (1939)*
Cross Country Detours (1940)*
I Only Have Eyes for You (1937)

*has been on MeTV with original production credits
**has been on MeTV as a Blue Ribbon reissue

I need to editorialize a little. I don't understand the Academy (Oscar)--I saw The Dot and the Line the other day. THIS was Oscar worthy? I'm a huge Chuck Jones fan, but this film won an Oscar, and Duck Amuck, Duck Dodgers, What's Opera Doc?, and One Froggy Evening were bypassed, not even nominated?

And of a few hundred Bugs Bunny cartoons, which one and only one won an Oscar? Knighty Knight Bugs? You gotta be kidding! I'm sorry, this one doesn't even come close to the top ten, IMO! Tex Avery's A Wild Hare was nominated--that was a better cartoon!

And don't get me started on the bias toward MGM and Disney!!
