^No because ODAAT was filmed in SD not HD.

Everytime this gets bumped up, I think it's to announce the release....

I don't think a show has to be originally filmed in HD (which didn't exist on ODaaT's time, anyway) to be streamed on a video-on-demand service. I was talking about Alice being streamed on a video-on-demand service if its remaining seasons will never be released some time ago. VoD may be the only way for viewers who never got to see ODaaT reruns in their lifetime (like myself).

Default About that "Happy New Year" episode

It might just be a coincidence, but that can't help.
The episode not just had a performance of "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" by Valerie Bertinelli and McKenzie Phillips. Bonnie Franklin also sang "On the Good Ship Lollipop", and another character sang "Mr. Wonderful" (show tune from a Broadway musical starring Sammy Davis Jr.) If "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" was expensive enough - good luck licensing "Mr. Wonderful" and "On the Good Ship Lollipop" on top of that!

Cindy Brady and Natalie Schaefer sang On the Good Ship Lollipop on the Brady Bunch and that was on the DVD, so why would it be hard to license it for One Day at a Time if the Brady Bunch could do it?

How many popular songs did "The Brady Bunch" incorporate in its soundtrack? Regarding "ODAAT", we're talking *three* popular songs in that single season two episode - two show tunes and a pop song from the time of episode broadcast - to license for DVD. Basically a "WKRP" costly type of situation.

It's not as costly as WKRP would be, though.

I wish you wouldn't go on the boards calling me stupid. I was just pointing out a fact that ODAAT would have to be digitally remastered from the source tapes in order for it to be on Netflix. Alice was digitally remastered to high definition to be on DVD and therefore is on a streaming service. If ODAAT were remastered, then there is a possibility. That's all I am saying. And please be nice to me as I try to be nice to you but it's hard when you get all nitpicky and through a BF on the boards just because I say something like "VOD shows are in HD." They are. Get over yourself.

Well, if you feel that way, I am sorry I called your opinion stupid. The truth is, I actually never had an opportunity to see ODAAT at all in my local area.

Also, I do not want to derail this thread, but I am not going to be forced to argue with you. If you reply to my posts, I think of it as sniping. Now please leave me alone and let other users here reply to my posts.

I am not sniping at you. I think you do the sniping. Whatever. Just please delete the post you made insulting me on the other thread.

What post are you talking about?

Okay, now I think you're giving me a headache. Every time I make a post on this forum, you gotta make the wrong reply and act like the only user in this forum. That would be considered a way to stalk people.
