Tonight's game ended in a tie. For the first time ever, there was a sudden death tiebreaker question at the end of Final Jeopardy. While it was interesting seeing this extra, the old way of both winners coming back the next time and keeping their winnings is a lot more fair to the contestant who ended up losing.

I like the old way of co-champions returned too. I don’t know why shows feel the need to reinvent the wheel.

I like old pattern where 2 or 3 winners have to come back on the next show but I’m not a fan of the sudden death rule

Here’s a story on the Jeopardy tiebreaker and some of the reasoning behind it
https://www.theringer.com/tv/2021/1/...-rules-changes Since it was put in effect years ago in regular play it’s only come up three times. So yeah, while some people bitch and moan when it occurs, overall, relatively speaking, it’s really a non factor. |
