Yes. I recognize that look...she's barely looking at anyone around her, and you can tell she doesn't really care Yellow is there because she's trying to stop herself from falling over. I have a history of being a heavy drinker and I know how it feels when you're just trying to steady yourself, or just keep from passing out...When I was in that state I would move to a corner of the room too and then exit as soon as I could manage.

All the more reason why I don't think she left her hotel room after the last time her father saw her.

Sadly, same here. She was definitely wasted

Welcome! Thank you for posting, I read your page. There is a lot of information that has already been posted on here over the years. Are there any new updates? What are your thoughts?

Regarding the speculation of what happened to Amy, it is very ambiguous with a lot of twists and turns after she disappeared. especially if you include the fraudulent investigations, fake psychics, and other shows made to generate revenue. we know that human trafficking is a problem, but I don't know that abductions from cruises was/is a common thing? Not to say it is not possible. I would think now abductions from cruises are next to 0. Violent assault is always a small possibility especially if you factor alcohol and drugs. if I were giving any young lady advice onboard a cruise, it would be never to venture out, especially after hours, without a trusted partner.

In 1998, did they not have a tracking system for cruise passengers disembarking and embarking a ship? How would they have validated their passengers then? This would have at least helped determine whether Amy left the ship on her own, which would not of made sense anyway for her to leave the ship that early after a night out. especially without taking a family member. It would be nearly impossible now for someone to disembark a ship without being tracked, for both crew and passenger.

This is a good question DT, and I find myself curious about that now as well. I've never been on a cruise (thanks in part to this case), but it certainly makes sense IMO that there would be some type of system in place to monitor the passengers' comings and goings. It is what it is I suppose, but I'd be curious to see what those records showed.

yes I would think they would have had a tracking system for accountability, but idk how it worked back then. maybe that wasn't a thing. I'm sure someone can verify this. It seems obvious to me that this would have been brought up, but I don't recall it being discussed. It seems like there is confusion as to whether Amy left the ship or not, whether it be on her own or whether she was taken off by someone. I know in 2010 timeframe they went to mandatory passports for all cruises, which was long overdue. Now they use passports to make your ship ID card and they use the ID to track your status on or off the ship and can track all of your purchases with time stamps on the ship. There is CCTV all over the ships. They also have many onboard security programs that make you aware of threats on and off the ship. I would say that you are safe in taking a cruise and in all of mine that I've been on I've had nothing but fun on them.
