That's what it looked like in the segment. There were no homes/neighbors close by, no trees or plants, no sidewalk. The house was surrounded by a big open field. I'm surprised anyone would want to live there.

Good find, though. I tried searching online for the house in the past but could never find anything.

Honestly the home mentality is really weird in Reno. I could see people living in that home and paying a super low amount, even in the late 70's. The area has only been built up in the last 10 years, homes in the last 6.

I'm not sure how to post pictures from Google Earth onto the forums here (I've tried unsuccessfully before), but if someone who does wants to post it, I know where Cokeville Elementary School is. This was the place where David Young and his wife took the entire school hostage, but miraculously ended up not killing anyone despite setting off a huge bomb.

It's on North Sage Street in Cokeville at one of the northernmost spots in town (there's actually nothing but open land north of it; everything else in town is below it).

KEVIN IVES/DON HENRY

The yellow line I drew like a third grader marks Pine Manor Dr, where Don Henry lived with his parents. For some reason, when you go into street view it puts you on Evergreen Dr, although you are able to move around onto Pine Manor. Perhaps someone with a keen eye can find the correct trailer; my copy of this segment is in storage at the moment.

The boys were found near the rail crossing circled in purple on the map. The bottom is a photo of that crossing with the tracks heading southwest toward the Henry home.

I was thinking about this thread the other day. I was on 10th and K in Sacramento, it no longer looks like the pic that was posted awhile back. I could not located any plaque for Charlie Scheel. Sadly it must not have stood the test of time.

Also, it's not UM related, but while my brother was looking for an apartment to rent we came across Richard Trenton Chase's apartment. Not for rent, but the mere fact of the atrocities committed within it's walls, would lead any knowing person to get as far away from as possible. I could post some pics for the curious.

location of the "Tom Johnson" Knights Inn - Heather Uffelman was killed in Room 332. It eventually became a Travelers Inn, until it was condemned in December 2006.

The building has since been demolished, and the land is currently for sale.

Yellow circle signifies the actual site where the Knights Inn once stood:

Can anyone find the hotel in Florida where Joan Rogers and her two daughters were staying when they had the misfortune of running into the scumbag Oba Chandler? Or the home, jogging path and "Spot in the Road" associated with Tommy Gibson's disappearance? I'm trying to find street addresses but maybe some of the more seasoned pros will have better luck.

I did visit the Santa Fe church that was the site of the reported miracle staircase. It's not hard to find, with its' big "AS SEEN ON UNSOLVED MYSTERIES" sign out front (at least there was such a sign in September, 2006). Those pictures remained with my ex, post-divorce, so I am sorry to say I can't post them.

This thread is AWESOME == thanks to everyone who is posting.

Can't get you a picture of the same hotel, but can get you to the same site. At the time the Rogers family stayed there (in Room 251), it was known as the Days Inn.

That Days Inn was demolished in 2006, and a Westin hotel was rebuilt on the site.

the location of Dr. Richard Boggs' office, in the infamous Boggs / John Hawkins / Melvin Eugene Hanson murder of Ellis Green (a "look-alike" for Hanson), for purposes of committing insurance fraud:

Brian, your researching skills seem to be better than mine. So maybe you can help me find Lydia Henry's little apartment in San Francisco, where Sal Guardado killed Sally Garrity.

The book 'Murderers among us,' gives an idea of the location but nothing exact. It said the apartment was on Shipley near Fifth Street, south of San Francisco's Mission District.

I've been up and down Shipley on Google and I can't see anything that even resembles the building.
