There was another thread where someone who claimed to know her actually posted. I don't remember what all they said, but a lot of it was self serving type stuff about how Missy is a good person now, and how terrible are we for talking about her.

She had a kid with Strickland when they were on the run. I wonder how the kid is now. I would imagine they would be in their late 20s.

LMAO @ how terrible we are for talking badly about Missy. Well, at least we didn't help kill someone!

I think Missy had two boys with Strickland.

I hope they didn't inherit their father's looks!

When I think of Misty's mother, all I can hear in my head is the double negatives she used when interviewed. I don't remember verbatim what she said on national television, but it was something like "and she wasn't no whore". Perhaps maybe when the segment aired, I was learning about this in grammar school, and that may be the reason I think about that still to this day.

If looking for Misty, try searching under the name Melissa. I believe that was her real name. Also, she was from Maryland, and not Michigan, as mentioned in the segment. ( I did locate her on facebook, and without question it is the correct person. However the last name has changed, and yes, she looks like she was able to live a normal life and raise a family. All things aside, she was fifteen when she met Jerry Strickland. Due to privacy, I won't share her name publicly but a good sleuth should be able to find it within thirty minutes).

And now I see why! I just googled it at work, and after clicking images, I realize now that it is NSFW.

However, I do not believe this erotic adult vampire is the same person.

Thanks...I just found it! Actually, if you look through the pictures, you can see one of them she is obviously w/ one of the sons she had with Jerry...he has the same exact eyes as Jerry. Funny!

Also, not that this has too much to do w/ this, but it looks like Elmer DeBoer's widow passed away in 2014, still living in Waterford, MI and still has the last name DeBoer:

Yes! And the son obviously didn't take Jerry's name. It looks like he served our country in one of our wars as a soldier overseas. So tonight at least I'll go to sleep with a small feeling that good can come from bad. It also appears the mom had several kids, and turned out to be decent person.

I was explaining this case to someone today and obviously people have harsh feelings towards Missy. But she was fifteen when she met Jerry. Before the age of 18, she had two of his kids. We don't know what her life was like at home that prompted her to leave with Jerry, but something with her must have not been right.

We can not change what she did and the punishment she received. However as a society there's a glimmer of hope that people can change. I am sure she lives with her decisions each day.

I think they used footage from Strickland's arrest in the opening Credits of one the early Seasons?

I had a woman and her adult son apply for a rental with me a few months back. His last name was Munday and her name started with and M. My mind was running circles.
