It wasn’t. Tennessee Tuxedo premiered two years before Get Smart. Don Adams is the main thing the shows have in common.

That said, I love the programming idea. You could also do a lot with the direct animated spinoffs (“Partridge Family 2200 AD”, “Emergency +4”, “Lassie’s Rescue Rangers, etc.).

TV Guy's right. It was just that Tennessee Tuxedo was voiced by Don Adams.

In my honest opinion there are no other animated sitcoms out there including The Simpsons that can rival The Flintstones. This addition to METV is a huge upgrade.

I agree. I liked the Simpsons for the first year or two but quickly tired of it. The Flintstones is timeless.

Same here!! If it wasn't for my Kids watching it, I was done with the Simpsons after about two seasons too!

Now the Flintstones is a whole other story ! I can't get enough of them!!

I was really happy when Spongebob Squarepants came along which I really do think is very funny and cool! And my boys kinda got away from the Simpsons and got into Spongebob more!

IMO Spongebob Squarepants is the best newer cartoon!!

I exposed my grandson to The Flintstones and he loves it. Now he does still watch Spongebob as well and that show is funny, but I am glad he can also get into the classics that his Nana did long ago.

It would only be one episode, but there are three Looney Tunes with the Honeymooners played by cartoon mice. There"s also a Merrie Melodies where mice spoof The Jack Benny Program.

How is it a huge upgrade? What's the big deal about MeTV adding "The Flinstones" to their lineup? To tell you the truth I am not impressed by this addition.

Like I said in another thread. It doesn't take much to entertain most of you people on here.

Yep, those mouse characters are called the Honeymousers.

The 1958 Merrie Melodies toon with the Jack Benny mouse is "The Mouse That Jack Built." There are also mouse characterizations of his wife, Mary Livingstone and his announcer, Don Wilson. Jack Benny (the human) awakens from what appeared to be a dream at the end. It's probably the only color film of Benny from that era (when I post a statement like that, I'm always corrected!)
