For example, they didn't remove content (aside from what I mentioned above) in order to allow room for the updates?

- In regards to the PSS: I doubt these will ever be assimilated into the catalog so to speak. CM would have to pay out to the estates of Raymond Burr and Karl Malden respectively and I'm guessing that since they have never included these segments in their original broadcast form in any form of syndication, they aren't going to be available for stream now either.

- In regards to "Gulf Breeze" and other lost/banned segments: As has been mentioned elsewhere on this forum, there are a handful of segments that courted a degree of controversy back when they were originally broadcast to the point where they never reached syndication. I'm not talking about the fabled "Too Hot For Lifetime/Only Aired At 2 AM" segments but the segments that never made syndication period. "Gulf Breeze" was one of these but there were also legitimate issues with segments such as "Janet Parker O'Regan" and "Doyle Wheeler" and those are only the ones we have been made aware of! So if those segments are omitted as well, it's likely due to the knowledge we have already been made aware of.
Holy Blast From the Past, Batman! Welcome back!

...and you're dead on (pun intended) with the PSS specials narrated by Malden and Burr. I'd love to see them get this remastered treatment, but I suspect it would be far too complex to see it out.

I do think the original NBC airings are the source of the segments. There is stuff in some of the segments (Dottie Caylor, off the top of my head) that contained material that I do not remember seeing in my bootlegs. And yes, there is no mention of the 800 number. Which makes sense, as that number was defunct several years ago and I think now belongs to some sort of construction company...

These are undoubtedly the original NBC episodes. The episode lengths vary greatly (some as short as 42 minutes, others over 50 minutes) and there are no cuts to make room for the new updates. They are simply tacked on to the end of their respective segments. These were formatted and remastered for streaming only and are never going to be aired on television so they didn't need to make any cuts or adjust the episodes to be a certain length. They did it just the way they should have.

Are you sure it's CM? FilmRise supposedly has the international streaming rights, so why isn't it available outside of the US? I'm missing out!

You stated multiple times on here that you flat out refused to pay for Amazon Prime anyway so I don't think you're their target market regardless of where you live. There are plenty of workarounds for people residing outside of the United States to set their Amazon Prime accounts to be able to view "US only" programming. It's really not that hard to figure out, but you're still going to have to open up that wallet of yours in order to make it happen but you already said that it's never going to happen. Why the sudden change of heart?

...because UM is awesome and we all want to watch.

I do expect some increased activity on the boards in the very near future. I don't have the traffic figures, but I think these last few days have been much more active than in recent weeks/months. I, for one, love it! Excited to see what happens when UM releases Season 2, etc...

I also noticed that if you don't want to subscribe to Amazon Prime, you can purchase episodes for 99 cents each. If/when I'm able to do this, this is what I'll probably do. I don't order enough/watch enough streaming content for Prime to benefit me.

I could do without your snarky, smart aleck attitude.

I'd pay for Amazon Prime to watch Unsolved Mysteries. I wouldn't pay for Amazon Prime *just* for "free" shipping.

I am not using illegal methods to watch Unsolved Mysteries.

I want to get to the bottom of WHY Unsolved is not available outside of the US.

Ohh, I would do this! I do enough streaming with Netflix. I'd only use AP for UM, and this seems like a cheaper alternative.

Have you e-mailed Film Rise/CM/Amazon to ask? Perhaps they could offer an answer...

Watched the updated segment of "Friends till the End" from Episode 10. I don't think i've EVER seen Stack and the investigator scene where they're both sitting on the desk with the dispatch radio on in the background talking about the updated case. Didn't even realize that one of the boys had a knife wound in his back. So happy we get a few surprises this time around.

Anyone else notice they cut the title theme song in the middle (I think this is the part where they used to show scenes from the show scrolling past the screen) and skip to the end? Definitely not complaining overall, though, so glad to have these at all, much less in such great quality!

I can't wait to see if they will release the L'Enfant segment if and when they get to that season. They didn't even make a Farina version of that one and I've always wondered if Bashir demanded that they not make it. Even when Lifetime was airing the Stack episodes in the early-mid 2000s, they rarely if ever showed it.
