I've been kind of keeping track of some of the Cases I've run across that I found interesting for one reason or another

A family of German Tourists get lost in the California Desert

Two Maine Lobstermen vanish while testing a new boat
http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/...y_michael.html

A spear fisherman in Mexico goes missing in the sea of cortez

A woman goes to spread the ashes of her fiancee’s parents in Sauk Mountain, WA with her family, friends and her dog, she’s hearing impaired becomes seperated from the group with her dog, the dog shows up 3 weeks later she does not:

A young man from Michigan hiking on Molokai flags down a Department of Land and Natural Resources helicopter needing help, his feet are blistered and bleeding and he ask them to fly him out of the Wailua valley and they refuse, but they DO take his 60 pound backpack back to their office, when he never shows up to claim the backpack they report him missing:

A couple decide to go hiking Mout Waialeale did they get injured? did they disappear intentionally (he reportedly did not want to be a doctor) Or were they victims of over protective marijuana farmers who had killed a couple of hikers the same year?

That's a shocking photo of Paul Shrout! Surely the Son or other Family members have a better photo to use? Although I suppose if the house burnt down they probably lost everything.

Two EXTREMELY creepy convenience store worker disappearances. Both young women, of course Reminds me of Debra Poe:
http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/b/burdick_lynn.html
She had been working there for years and was only yards from her own home. It seems obvious the customer (or one directly after) just grabbed her after forcing her to give him the money from the register and she refused to divulge the information about the rest of the money.

http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/d/dove_kelly.html
It seems this, probably like the one above, may have been sexually motivated. Why on Earth didn't the police come after the first or second call? He must have grabbed her immediately after the final call; perhaps he heard that call and got mad or decided that it was the time to make his move. It seems like he came back with his car ready to kidnap her.

These both gave me major goosebumps. I wouldn't mind working graveyard shift since I'm a night owl, but never alone. Ever.

Both of those cases are so creepy! (and eerily similar)

It seems like she was home watching television when intruders broke in. 27 years and unsolved. If alive, she'd be 40 years old.

In addition to the Johnnie Herrera case, here are some Charley Project cases that have always piqued my interest. All of these would have been perfect for UM. I find it so hard to believe that, to the best of anyone's knowledge, NONE of them were profiled even as a quick "special alert" type of deal!

I started a thread about this one on Websleuths in November, but surprisingly, no one has ever responded to it.

http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/...od_steven.html

This one is really strange. It reminds me of the alleged Keri-Lyn Nixon sighting in the New Kids on the Block video.

http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/l/lloyd_lori.html

The next one has no photo of the victim, just a sketch of her as an adult. Cases where photos are unavailable always give me an eerie feeling for some reason.

http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/...elizabeth.html

I think there's a good chance the neighbor mentioned in this one is responsible:
http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/...i_darlene.html

These next cases sound like something from a mystery novel:
http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/k/keyton_john.html
http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/...ick_flora.html
http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/...ck_martha.html

These next two are believed to be connected. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find much info online about either one.

http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/..._jennifer.html
http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/...art_debra.html

I wonder what specifically makes them think that this woman fell victim to a serial killer. Which serial killers were active in that area of California at that time?: http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/...z_cynthia.html

Not on CP, but from Doe: http://doenetwork.org/cases/250dmon.html
http://doenetwork.org/cases/15dmon.html

Some people on Websleuths found an article stating that McCormick's father, John Sr., was a violent alcoholic who had once beaten his son son badly he had to be hospitalized. He was very drunk the night the boys disappeared and when Eric Larsfolk's parents asked him that night where the boys were, he swore up and down he'd never seen them at all that night, despite the fact that Eric's bicycle was clearly sitting right outside their home. John Sr. did join the search party that night, but never made any public appeals for his son's return. In fact, he and his wife Joyce began packing up their son's pictures and his room within days of the disappearance! They refused to even give LE a picture of their son for the missing persons report, so it is unknown where that picture of John actually came from. John Sr. died in 1987 of cirrhosis of the liver and Joyce refuses to discuss the case with anyone. John Sr. was their prime suspect and with him dead, the case has long since gone cold.

Another pair of cases believed to be connected:
http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/p/pena_cesilia.html
http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/...le_nelida.html

Could this have been a bullying type of situation?: http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/...guez_jose.html

Believe it or not, this long list is actually a condensed version of my favorite cases.

This one, because I remember it being on the local news a lot when I was a teenager. http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/...e_heather.html

It's sad because they have a pretty good idea what happened, but the main suspect killed himself, so probably no one will ever be brought to justice.

This one is scary as hell. http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/...ews_marcy.html

Just quietly, I think this Thread should be renamed The most interesting Charley Project Stories or the most mysterious. We're talking Missing loved ones here, Sleepless nights and no doubt Hell on Earth for families of the missing. Sitting back referring to their heartbreaking stories as "Favourite" just seems kind of cruel IMHO.

Another ideal title would be "Most Significant Charley Project Cases." I agree that the word "favorite" (or any similar word for that matter) sounds inappropriate. That's why in a previous post on this thread, instead of saying "favorite," I said "piqued my interest."

Both of those are terrifying! In the second one, I bet her friends felt guilty for not calling the police that night when they weren't allowed into the apartment. That was a mistake, but of course they had no idea what was going on in there. The first one reminds me of Molly Bish, but that there was actually an eyewitness. So scary. If Heather Teague shared acquaintances with the two suspects, I wonder if this wasn't a random attack, then? I wonder if it was a coincidence. In any case, it makes me never want to go to a body of water alone. And the second case reminds me of having friends with odd acquaintances...you never know what they're capable of.

A girl advertises for a babysitting job on the radio, then is abducted by the man who responds to her ad. Apparently the radio station did little to make certain of his identity:

http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/...nez_maria.html

Abducted from the condominium complex where she worked:

http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/...n_suzanne.html

The car that a young woman was driving stalled on the San Francisco Bay bridge, where it was then struck by another vehicle. The driver who struck her car was tried for vehicular manslaughter, but acquitted:

That is one of the scariest cases I've ever seen on CP.

Agreed. I wish there was more info on this one. Was she upset when she called asking for a ride? Why didn't the radio station verify the dude's identity before he came to pick up a 17-year-old girl? Of course he could have lied about his name, but

I think I've checked out all of the cases on Charley Project. There are quite a few cases that stick out in my mind.

One of them is this one. Disappeared during Hurricane Andrew, but it's unlikely the natural disaster swept her up. A stranger could be responsible, but the mother sounds like she knows more than she's telling
