That sounds like Maude's version of Ann Romano talking to herself for 20 minutes in the bedroom because she turned 36

All of those Lear shows must've had one scriptwriter. They just changed the names, places and the topic a little bit.

Someone questioned why people think Maude was political or wasn't political, well for a woman to have or even consider an abortion on tv during the 70's was
cutting edge, it didn't happen on other shows. Also Maude's daughter was divorced right another topic not common at the time, remember this show aired before One Day at a Time, Alice and others came on.

Season 1, to me, is the MOST rewatchable, followed by season 2. But I enjoyed most of the other seasons as well.
