I think the same thing is happening. Nothing will happen overnight.

Am I correct in saying that it has taken time for all of Forensic File episodes to be released?
I'm a huge Stern fan, or at least I was before his show turned into the second coming of The View anyway. The Artie years (2001-2009) were the absolute best ever and this was during the time when you were interning. That had to have been an amazing experience for you.

As for the Forensic Files episodes, 297 of them just appeared on Netflix last week. That's nowhere near all of them though.

This is probably the only time I will discuss Stern on this site ... however these releases take time. I don't know if there are any pending legalities involved with releasing the segments, and I don't believe they will need permission from each of the family. I would think that would have been handled already in the original screening. But I am hoping and somewhat optimistic that the pre-stack episodes will be digitally released!

But man, what a refreshing gift it was to have these episodes on Amazon in 2017. 2016 was just a rough year.

I just found out about the Stack episodes on Amazon hopefully sometime Burr/Malden. I haven't seen any yet, are they complete the way they aired on NBC or mixed segments edited together like they aired on Lifetime?

They are the original NBC versions, but most are modified in some way or another.

I bought three episodes on amazon, I noticed it's not Danny Dark reading the disclaimer at the beginning. I wonder if Filmrise will include UM to stream on their Roku channel for free with ads?

I believe FilmRise has free episodes of FBI Files and other shows on YouTube, hopefully UM will be added to that list.

So far I've bought episodes 1, 10 & 14. They're awesome but I wish I could watch them on something bigger than my phone....I don't own a computer.

How does that work exactly? When you buy an episode, can you only watch it through a player on Amazon or is a file downloaded to your computer? I don't have Prime, so I have no idea how it works.

I honestly don't know exactly.

I also don't have Prime so I've just been buying an episode here and there to experiment. I don't have a computer so my only option is to watch on my phone. Hopefully I'll be able to get a computer in the future so I can hook an hdmi cable from my computer to my tv so I can watch the episodes on my tv.

I'm assuming you use an app or something compatable with Prime Amazon?

^Yes. When you go to buy an episode on your phone, it'll automatically direct you to download the app.

I believe when you purchase something via Amazon, it is downloaded to your device (your smartphone, Kindle, etc.) and takes up memory space on the device.

Amazon will allow you to view it on multiple devices, though. For example, if you bought the episode on your phone and then purchased a computer, you could connect to Amazon and download the episode for viewing on your computer.

^It only takes up space on your phone if you download it. If you choose to just stream it (This eats your data quicker than Cookie Monster eats cookies!), it doesn't take up the space. I've been downloading the episode and watching it, then deleting it from my device to free the space back up. When you delete it, you still own it and can redownload it to your device anytime without having to repay for it.

It doesn't have to be downloaded to your device although it can be. You can stream it directly without having it downloaded to your device's memory, but that uses up data if you're doing it on your phone (unless you're connected to wifi).

To answer some of the questions from above.

Yes, if you buy the episode through Amazon you can only view it through Amazon's website or an Amazon app on a supported device. Supported devices include your computer, phone, or tablet. There are also streaming devices for your TV such as a Roku box or the Amazon provided Fire TV. These are devices the bring video streaming apps directly to your television set.

Buying episodes through Amazon and watching them does not usually require a Prime membership and viewing them on the app shouldn't either.

How is this unethical?
I feel your pain. I paid for the NFL overseas package at the end of the year only to see certain games blacked out but was able to watch them on skytv in the UK. Essentially I started paying double so I got my money back from the NFL by complaining to them and it surprised me that they refunded my NFL account. They must really care about their U.K. Audience. But that's bulsh that you have to pay two separate accounts to ensure watching all of the games. They do the same thing for English football here you have to subscribe double networks and that's just to see the big matches not necessarily your favorite team.

Blackout rules are dumb especially when you are paying extra to view. In the case of amazon I don't see how having a USA account in a foreign is a fraud. I have a USA App Store on my iPhone which is allows me to link and stream with a USA amazon account even though I do not live in the USA. I keep my USA amazon account because their are certain items I can still order from the USA. Obviously I am American so it benefits me to have it. But I do have a U.K. Amazon account as well. Could one not just buy a USA apple gift card or amazon gift and download the USA account going through all of the legitimate avenues?
