Ohh, then I'm mistaken. Thanks for information. I just presumed Danson held the record because that was who George always mentioned on Seinfeld when justifying a pay increase.

Default More......

I hoped you all enjoyed the peter casey tidbits and the extended 'different' theme. Today we'll start Game (1).

Game (1)- True or False
1. Frances Sternhagen appears as Ma Clavin again this season.
2. Sam openly lets Rebecca know about 'I' on Sports.
3. Bebe gets a credit this season.
4. The Cranes' mother visits.
5. Sam returns to Cheers for a position as relief bartender.

This is a quiz, post your first responses. The person with the highest score out of 100 will be crowned 'Cheers' King. Remember, it is cheating if you use any 'help' with this. Don't watch any sixth season episodes until you've posted your answers. Once your answers are in, they may not be edited. I can see if they have been. (edited.) Also, no TVTome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Only from your mind. I cant tell whether you cheated or not, but it'll bear on your conscience forever if you do. lol.

Coming as time goes on.......................................... The Posting of Our Dream Reviews.

..... More Exclusive Behind-The-Scenes Footage Coming Soon, Too!!!!!!!!!!!!.......

The Cheers E! True Hollywood Story also referred to Ted as the highest-paid actor on television. I guess their sources were wrong, too.

I suspected that, but the non-cynical part in me still wants to believe it's a matter of integrity.

P.S. I found these juicy links on the net. Enjoy.

I guess they were referring to the last season? Since The Cosby Show ended the season before Cheers. I remember reading, Bill was the first TV actor to make $1 million per episode. This could be also due to the fact that people like Bill and Roseanne were also involved behind the scenes of their shows as well. I don't think Ted was ever a consulting or executive producer on Cheers.

Thumbs up

Yes, they were referring to the last season. His salary then was about $500,000 per episode, so I think your point makes a lot of sense: he might have been considered the highest-paid actor at that time -and actor only- because he didn't perform any other tasks in the show.

Speaking of TV specials, I'd like to see the day when Cheers gets the TV special it deserves --just the show, its making and the history of it, with real episodes footage and not just stills, and leaving aside the dirty laundry.
The E! True Hollywood Story is clearly NOT an example of it, at least during the second half. I have also a DVD special from the "Inside Television's Greatest" series, but they apparently didn't own the rights to the show's footage either, so it's basically made out of stills and voice-overs. At least, it avoids sensationalism.

I agree! I would like to see something about Cheers, that we already haven't seen or heard.

No he didn't. I guess I'll tell you now why he got an 80 before this looks like its a fix.

Question 5 was his demise-
Sam returns to Cheers for a position as relief bartender.

His answer, "True", the right one, "False". He originally intented to be owner again, and forget about the last few months. Rebecca informed him she was owner and he couldn't get a job there. THEN, after begging, Rebecca offered him the relief bartender job.

It was a trick question, but obviously if I would've told you guys that before you woulda not been tricked quite as easily!

yeah. I wanted to contribute daily to the thread (see first posting) but I got off track as usual.

This is a test to see who can think of what season a particular ep. came from.

ex: "Give Me A Ring Sometime"- Season One (obviously )

winner gets to post more.

again, 5 questions, 20 points each. I won't reveal the answers this time and for every other game from now on, until at least 5 have posted, or by Wednesday.

1. "What is, Cliff Clavin?"
2. "Backseat Becky, Up Front"
3. "An Old Fashioned Wedding"
4. "Ma Always Liked You Best"
5. "Suspicion"

Unless you have no pity, use no aid.

I'll try to find more interesting behind-the-scenes stuff soon, and since I'm no good with keeping up to my promises, COMING SOON!!!!!!!!! is the posting of my dream review. After I post mine, you all will post yours, but please don't post yours until I post mine. Extras and Cover Art Discussion. AND MORE GAMES ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ALOT MORE! Remember, we have to pass the time along somehow until the 13th of September.
