Default Henry Winkler made Fonzie character to be like...

the character played by Sylvester Stallone's character in the movie, "The Lords of Flatbush". A wonderful movie to watch Sly and Henry in one of their first acting jobs. When Henry had been trying to figure out how Fonzie should be, he referenced how Sly had acted in that movie. Even though Henry was also playing a "tough guy", it was Sly's character that was more ruthless, you could say. That is an awesome movie to watch. It's from the 70's so it might be hard to find in the stores. I recorded it off from cable, it brought back memories when I first saw it way back then.

I heard the same thing. It's weird to see Henry SO young just before the Fonz doing this role.

I actually saw it at the Drive Inn, with my folks when I was 9. I didn't get quite get the references until several years later though.
