The couple who bought it lived there until their deaths for over two decades, I believe. They were perfectly happy there.

It is a very beautiful home in a lovely location...but I don't think I could be blase knowing five people had met horrible ends there. It's so eerie to think about.

Three decades, actually. Until their deaths in 2006 and 2007.

I couldn't agree more with you. The house is cute and the neighborhood is really beautiful. But I just couldn't see myself buying a home that had that history.

And I probably already mentioned this in the other thread but that house is the only home on that block that's not visible from the street. It's hidden behind another house and a slew of trees...kind of like you're living in the woods. You have more privacy than your neighbors. Haunting to think how much that probably helped Bishop get away easier. Loading 5 bodies into a station wagon wouldn't have been as easy to do without being detected had they lived elsewhere on that block.

The Hilton (now Marriott) in my home city where Gail Delano killed herself. I may have posted this a few years ago and told this story (can't remember--not going back through 27 pages!!) but back on here catching up. I used to work at that hotel during college. One of the Sales Directors claimed to remember the incident as he was a bellman back then. Also strange--we had a 13th floor and a room 1313.

Unusual for a hotel.

airport blvd in mobile, a fine place if there ever was one. Although I could recommend a lot better places to stay. I have a lot of foggy memories from my young wild days in that town. Ah, the stories. Loved the old oak trees that line Springhill Ave as you venture into downtown. Didn't love being lost in Prichard while looking for some fun. Ever been to Judge Roy Beems?

Anywhoo...Did anyone ever figure out why exactly Gail Delano chose this location?

I wonder if Sharon Kinne's house is still around? Or if anyone knows if it
Of course Amityville is a fake The people who bought the house apparently did so knowing its notoriety and hoping to cash in. It seems they did. The people who lived there after them have never had a problem. It's on the internet somewhere. Why would the victims of a psycho family member who was stlll alive but in prison haunt the crime scene instead of the kiiler's jail cell?

Well in some cultures believe if you were the victim of a violent crime that your spirit wont be able to leave from the place you died in

The killer simply walked up the embankment to 63rd Street (seen on the far right of the photo) and vanished. This street is an access road to Interstate 70.

Been to this site a few times. It is not really an access road to I-70 which is several miles to the north and you have to pass through several major intersections in a built up area. A lot farther from the highway than all the other crime scenes. That's why I think the I-70 Killer lived in or was from the KC area, which is centrally located along the crime spree.

Default I-70 locations

probably answered already but here are the I-70 addresses:
Sorry have to give them in coordinates as I put them on Google Earth a while back but didn't keep the addresses. none of the places are the same as they were.

Indianapolis Payless 8 Apr 92 39°49'42.08"N, 86° 2'34.15"W

Wichita La Bridal 11 Apr 92 37°40'43.85"N, 97°16'56.77"W
(strip mall near Kellogg and Oliver)

Terre Haute Sylvia’s Ceramics 27 Apr 92 39°26'22.64"N, 87°24'50.53"W

St. Louis (St. Charles) Boot Village 3 May 92 38°47'1.75"N, 90°32'7.93"W

Kansas City (Raytown) 7 May 92 39° 0'23.46"N, 94°26'42.86"W
killer seen walking east after murder: 39° 0'53.75"N, 94°26'35.29"W

The 7 May crime scene was a lot farther from I-70 than any of the others and someone saw someone who looked like killer walking away on a city street blocks away instead of jumping into a getaway car, ergo I'd presume t killer lived on the east side of KC at the time of the murders.

This thread is pure gold.

Actually I've been going back and forth between here, and Google Street View typing in the addresses as well as virtually traveling around (and in) the neighborhoods. It's definitely surreal when pinpointing a certain area in terms of the significance of where an abduction or a murder had occurred.

My job sent me to LA for training last week. So of course I went into Hollywood almost every night to party. Then, I saw this bad boy. My brother asked me if I went into the basement to look for ghosts.

Here is 16055 Ventura Blvd, which was home of the Twentieth Century Motor Car Corporation.

Liz Carmichael/Jerry Dean Michael had her office here. I never made the connection about Liz's assumed name being Car-Michael until now. DUH!

I think it's pretty ironic that there is a plastic surgery place there now.

As others on this thread have stated, it's hard to fathom how "ordinary" and even beautiful many of these places look! That unlike how when they were portrayed on Unsolved Mysteries, and seemed as creepy as the cases made them out to be, along with the crimes committed as well! Then again, it's not like you'd think twice, and/or have any idea of what went on in the past if you weren't a fan of the show. Just amazing at all the heinous events which occurred in and around them, that you can't think would ever happen unless told otherwise, or seen/heard for yourself. Unsolved Mysteries can do that to you for certain!
