FRESH OFF THE BOAT! Itís earsplittingly horrific.

And I agree that Dear John is also awful.

Dear Johns' theme song was so mundane.

I also have to agree with the people who said:

*Two & a Half Men
*Malcolm in the Middle (loved the show)
*Charles in Charge
*Friends.

I couldn't stand the theme songs to the following shows either:

*Leave It to Beaver (though I like the instrumental from Season 6)

*The Twilight Zone (hated the original theme, love the main/infamous theme)

*Amos and Andy

*Boy Meets World (every version of theme just seemed very bland and anti-climatic. Not a bad show though)

Everybody Hates Chris' theme song (also love this show) was kind of annoying too.
Most people seem to prefer the season 6 theme to Leave It To Beaver, but I'm not a fan, I prefer its original theme song, it had its own sound, the season 6 one sounds like most of the other early 60's theme songs (to me at least)

My favorite Leave it to Beaver theme was the one with whistling. It didn't last long enough.

The season 1 LITB theme is actually my least favorite. It was used as the opening theme for seasons 1-5. It was simple and I guess matched the feel of the show in early seasons but I preferred the more fleshed out arrangements in later years.

My favorite was the closing theme for seasons 3-5.

I absolutely loathed the theme songs to "The Heights" and "Star Trek: Enterprise." Enterprise's theme song was so bad that I actually quit the series halfway into the first season. It just screamed, "CW Star Trek!"

Off the top of my head:

Two And A Half Men (so repetitive, and annoying)
Dear Jon (stupid lyrics, and the singer is SO WHINY)
Charles In Charge (lame....just lame)
Silver Spoons (see Charles In Charge)
Friends (overplayed......so very overplayed)
Roseanne - the version with lyrics (not a fan of Blues Traveler, and lyrics were stupid)
Malcolm In The Middle (not a fan of They Might Be Giants)
All In The Family (so much screaming from Edith)
Alice (part lyrics, part Linda Lavin's singing)
Happy Days after they stopped using Rock Around The Clock

Season 9. Sung by John Popper of Blues Traveler, who had been on the show in a prior season. The lyrics were stupid, and pointless.

I agree with 2-1/2 Men.

The Ropers theme was bad, and the visuals made it even worse.

Alice -- and it gets worse with every re-recording each season (more funky/jazzy, more serious, more shrill).

I never liked the theme song to The Big Bang Theory, but I loved the show. I wasn't crazy about I'll Be There for You for Friends either, but it's one of my favorite shows. The Family Ties theme was so serious that it didn't fit for a sitcom. Father Knows Best was another one that was too dramatic for such a light show. The Toy Parade (all versions) for LITB is one of my favorites!

The Family Ties theme was nauseating--it would fit a soap opera. The FKB closing theme was updated (improved, IMO) during the 5th season and again in the 6th season. The opening theme in the original episodes was updated in the last three seasons, but remained unchanged in syndication. The changed original versions are on the 4th and 6th season DVD sets.
