I never said they were viewable to everyone. I said someone will probably watch them. And someone probably will.

Firefly was amazing, intelligent and funny, so of course the network completely didn't understand it and didn't give it an opportunity to develop a following. Thank goodness for the movies.

Both are held in the UCLA Film & Television Archive. Someone will probably decide to watch them one of these days.
I watched a couple of Hot L Baltimores there this summer. Pretty bad I thought.

I have to say that there aren't many things I haven't been able to get or at least see over the last 25 years of collecting. Don't Call Me Charlie, Harris Against the World, Tom, Dick and Mary although I saw the last 2 at Library of Congress. I would like to see a color episode of Hank. I've never come up with an All's Fair although I did see one at LOC (they have them all). And I don't have any Corner Bars either (saw one at UCLA). How about A Touch of Grace? Don't know anyone with one of those. Or The Brothers with Gale Gordon. Anyone have an episode?

I have to say some people list some really laughable stuff, things they could have easily taped when they aired. Here Come the Brides and Bill Cosby Show for instance ran on CBN. Captain Nice and Occasional Wife (among others) ran on HA. Second Hundred Years and He and She on USA, Sanford ran on BET for the longest time.

well, I read once that, eventually EVERYTHING that is/was on TV will be availible on DVD.
Nothing could be further from the truth. Do you have any idea how many shows that aired don't even exist any more? I am currently working with several entities trying to track down many obscure programs and even filmed shows, if they were not owned by major studios, have not been well kept track of. So, believe me, whoever made that statement is talking out their ass.

Captain Nice

Never seen it. I wish they'd show it on the television some time.

Captain Nice ran a few times - on Ha, on Comedy Central and on WOR national feed. How'd you miss it?

Reading through your post really took me back. You've named some shows which I watched when they first aired but don't recall too often. Captain Nice and Occasional Wife -- WOW! -- I remember them well! Thanks for the memories.

How'd you get to see it, because it's not on VHS or DVD?
Boy, it took me over five months to realize that someone had asked me a question. Well, if you're still out there treky, I got a print of the It's About Time pilot from the trading site tvofyourlife.com.

I'd love to see "The Charmings" again... short-lived 1980's sitcom with Paul Winfield as the Magic Mirror. Funny stuff...

Oliver Beene is a good choice. Definitely got hung out to dry cause
Malcolm in the middle hadn't quite picked up it's second wind and it
was back to back with it for a little bit.

Also I wonder just how many people could make the mental switch
from a modern day dysfunctional family to a 50's dysfunction family
without saying "WTF?
