I liked the seasons before the original Becky left.

Phase 4 I believe. The season where Roseanne's thinner, had the long straight black hair, bright red lipstick, freshly plastic face, and more stylish clothing.

I really liked the episodes that featured Wings Hauser in them.

Phase 2 with Phases 1 and 3 right behind it.

The first eight seasons contained some of the best sitcom material on television during that era. The final season was unworthy of the name "Roseanne".

That being said, the last truly great episode of "Roseanne" was the 'identical Beckys' episode early in Season 8.

So, any phase of Roseanne between Season 1 and early Season 8 was excellent. The best season was probably the 4th.

Was that the Father of the two Girls who lived next door around 1992-1993?

I think his name was Ty Tilden? He worked nights and Molly was always lying to him to get her way.

I loved season six. It was nice to see the new Becky in the opening plus, I loved the updated opening theme song. It's my favorite. I loved the storylines for that season. Roseanne look reaaal good that season. Now, Becky #1 is still my favorite, though.

Phase 2 definitely. I've always ranked the seasons: 4, 3, 5, 2, 6, 1, 7, 8, 9

I like Phase 1. You really get to understand what the show was all about. Also compare Roseanne from season 1 or season up against season 8 or 9, there is no comparison. Season 1 and 2 were better. By the time the show ended you really didnt even recognize it.

Phase 1 and 2! I really didn't like the later episodes much, esp. the last season. It got weird IMO! I think it started to go down hill after Becky and Mark eloped to Minnesota. And the next season was OK, I liked the two neighbor girls, Charlotte and Molly, than after that well I wasn't as big of a fan anymore!

I liked the early "small town" feel of it, and it just got lost in the later seasons!

Seasons 3 and 4 are perfect. Seasons 1 and 2 have a couple episodes each that I don't like. 5 is near perfect I just don't think the episodes with Tim Curry are that good. 6 was pretty good but had that really dumb episode where the women all fall for that bull crap about how men are insecure that they can't have babies. 7, 8 and 9 have many awful episodes but a handful of great ones.

Although I don't like Roseanne much, my favorite phase would be phase 1.
