Question Trapper years or BJ years?

Which era is your favorite? I tend to favor the BJ years.

I strongly prefer Trapper to BJ, but I still like the show up until the 8th season.

I really don't have a preference, but I think we can all guess what Lu's answer is going to be.

Yeah, Lu is my nickname for Lauren (LuLu Rogers). She's the biggest Wayne Rogers fan in the universe, while my guy is Gregory Sierra (Barney Miller, Sanford & Son, Soap). The two actors were both in the 1972 movie Pocket Money, and I kind of bonded with Lu over that.

The Trapper years. The show was more satirical and less sentimental.

B.J. is okay and all, but the show had an edge in the early years that the later seasons never matched.

The Trapper years not only was the show more funnier but Trapper and Hawkeye had a good chemistry and worked perfectly together.
