I agree with you completely. And seeing how mentally ill and selfish this woman was, I would think her kids are actually better off without her. Who knows what this unstable woman was capable of.

I also find it hard to sympathize.
Not only did she kill a dog, but now her 10 month old son has 2 parents who killed themselves.

Vivid Halts Distro of Mindy McCreedy Sex Tape
Posted Feb 19th, 2013
by Peter Warren

Vivid Entertainment has called for an immediate stop to distribution in all forms of Mindy McCready: Baseball Mistress in the wake of yesterday's news that the country singer had been found dead in her Arkansas home from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

"The situation surrounding Mindy's death is so tragic and sad," Vivid co-chairman Steven Hirsch told AVN. "We decided to stop marketing her tape as a gesture of respect."

The McCready video was still available on Vivid.com as of post time, but according to a report by TMZ, the studio plans to remove it as soon as possible.

Mindy McCready: Baseball Mistress was released in April 2010 after McCready's stint on "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew" and her reported affairs with celebrities including actor Dean Cain and baseball star Roger Clemens.

IMO if her kids had been with her, she'd probably have shot and killed them too

I'm rather surprised at the judgments being placed upon her, here.

Do any of us really know what she went through, what her thought processes were? I'm not condoning what she did, or minimizing it by calling it a "bad choice" (I loathe that expression), but none of this seems intentionally malicious.

Of COURSE those of us who are stable are going to see this as "not thinking of her kids". That's because you're stable. She wasn't. My guess was she didn't ask for a mental illness; who on earth would? She may have decided her kids were better off without her. Depression is a deep, dark hole and once you're in it you really get blinders on to everything but stopping the pain. I can't say I've ever been THAT deep, but I know enough not to judge those who have been.

Agreed, this is a condolence thread and not one for passing judgment. Let's try to keep it at that.

He is a pr--k if he beat her and f him for that.

And like i said, i dont pretend to understand her demons, it just baffles me about leaving her kids and seemingly placing her boyfriend above all.

Again, i don't know what she was thinking. These are just my impressions.
Yeah, I understand what you mean. It's impossible for us to pretend to understand the thoughts of someone who is mentally unstable.

I agree. I am a bit dumbfounded at how insensitive and ignorant some of the replies are. Calling someone who was incredibly mentally ill "selfish" is incredibly ridiculous.

May she finally be in peace. And I pray for her two kids.

Agreed! Depression is a serious and sometimes deadly condition. I have a family member who has suffered with it for years. Just recently he was on too many conflicting medications which caused him to contemplate suicide. Thank goodness he got straightened around and is doing pretty well now. These people need serious help and now days they can get it. Condemning a manic depressive is like condemning a cancer victim. It is an illness. We should just be thankful that it hasn't happened to us. I really feel sorry for Mindy(or anybody else) to have been in such a hopeless state of mind. These snide remarks are tasteless and self righteous. I always try to put myself in one's situation and then say "But for the grace of God go I..............."

Exactly...and we wonder why so many people still can't or won't take mental illness as a serious and real thing people suffer with some of the replies on here. People who have to live with being in a dark place all the time need support and compassion, not snark and nastiness.

AMEN!!! I suffer from severe panic disorder (and have for most of my life) and have also dealt with several bouts of severe depression. It's so totally sad that there is such a stigma attached to people who suffer from mental illness, and Mindy suffered from it for many years. She may have not been aware of what she was doing.
