Default I vote Oliver's Mother

Second and third runner-ups are Uncle Joe and Sam Drucker. Sam talks too much, too quickly. Uncle Joe has the personality of a treestump

Oliver's mother was a bitch, but I liked it when they would make her look foolish so I've got to say I liked that so, it would be LISA'S mother for me as least favorite.

People didn't like Mr. Haney because you weren't supposed to! He was the town weasle!! You have to have a hated character to round it out! Haney rocked in my opinion!

The little girl who came on near the end of the series (cannot remember her name) was the only character who annoyed me. I liked Fred a lot: Fred: "How is that beautiful, little Mrs. of yours?" Oliver: "Oh, she's fine. How's your wife?" Fred: "Oh, why'd you have to bring her up for?"

I also liked Sam Drucker, Oliver's mother, Eb, etc. I do agree that Lisa got very dumb in the last season...remember in the first season she was pretty bright? (smarter than her husband, that's for sure!) Lisa is my favorite character though; Eb and Mr. Haney closely behind. I think, excluding the little girl, all of the characters were wonderful.

The little girl you are referring to was named Lori. She came in for about three or four episodes in the last season for who knows why. While she didn't annoy me, I saw no purpose for her being there.

Anyway, TTFF!

Oliver: I'd take a seed, a tiny little seed, I'd plant it in the ground, I'd put some dirt on it, I'd water it, and pretty soon, do you know what I would have?
Lisa: A dirty little wet seed.

Guys,

I vote for Oliver's Mother. I thought it was mean the way she treated Oliver.

Haney is funny and meant to be annoying, but always makes me want to pull every hair outa my head. I like it alot better when he's not in an episode, but when he isn't the show isn't as funny. When he's in it, its funny. So I like him, but I don't all at the same time. Pat Buttram is a very convincing actor. I think he could be best described as the best character on a sitcom you love to hate.

Default Drobney the duck - least favorite character

Between Arnold, Eleanor, Alice & Bertram, and Mignon, there was enough of a fine animal cast in Green Acres. Why did they devote episodes to this duck ? He was just irritating - taking over Oliver's bath (unclean, too - yechh!), and making Oliver look for him in a storm.

Lori was OK. She entered Hooterville when the Douglases decided to host 4 underprivileged kids, incl. Lori, on the farm for a week. But Lori strayed from the train when it left with the other kids, so she stayed a while longer.

I vote for Mr. Haney, he got old too fast. Can't see how anyone doesn't like Fred Ziffel or Hank Kimball. As someone else mentioned, Mr. Wheeler was pretty lame, but it was cool when he was around because Oliver could call him a mallethead.

Wasn't crazy about Joe Carson either, but he did deliver a good one every now and then:

Joe: "What's your name?"
Oliver: "Douglas. Oliver Wendell Douglas."
Joe: "Douglas Oliver Wendell Douglas? You got enough names for two fellers."

> Nevertheless, the funniest scene with Arnold I recall was
> when Sam Drucker had a display of something with the name
> Gourmet in it, but he spelled it GOORMAY on his sign. Then
> Fred Z. and Arnold come in, Arnold grunts a few times and
> Fred says, "Arnold says ya ain't got gourmet spelled right."

Outstanding scene. Absolutely outstanding.

When Lori was on GA she didn't irritate me, but to me she just didn't seem to fit in with the others.

I never cared much for Hank Kimball, you wondered how he had enough sense
to get up in the morning much less have a job.
