Thank you for continuing the conversation about Keith. Prayfully we have movement going on in Maryland where the state is now investigating Dr. Fowler (former medical examiner for MD) who testified in George Floyd case. Councilman Hans Riemer has now requested an outside investigation into the investigation of Keiths death. Below is quote from Mr. Riemer:

"This man was in charge for years of making determinations of cause of death in Maryland. I am glad to hear the state will review his past decisions. Among those past decisions, he has likely been asked at different times to reconsider the cause of death for Keith Warren, which in my view was falsely ruled suicide by a preceding chief medical examiner. When I talked to the police chief about how to get Keith Warren’s cause of death reconsidered and ultimately changed from “suicide” to “undetermined,” he said, “Only the chief medical examiner can do that”. How bitingly ironic that Fowler testified that George Floyd’s cause of death is undetermined. No wonder Keith’s case has been stuck for so long with people like this in charge. It’s time for the state to take a closer look at the Keith Warren case, too."

I have to admit that of all the "questionable suicide" cases that UM profiled over the years, the Warren case was probably one of them that disturbed me the most. Well that and the Derschirl case. And I'm certainly not an expert in LE or medical examiners' protocol, but I guess I always thought that the "Undetermined" ruling was sort of just a "catch all" designation that's used when the ME couldn't find enough medical evidence to issue a more definitive ruling. Based on that assumption, I never quite understood why the ME couldn't determine a more conclusive cause of death. Now admittedly, it's been a while since I've seen the Warren segment, so I should probably re-familiarize myself for my own edification.

ETA: Oh, and may I add that seeing Paul Flores (and his father) FINALLY being arrested in the Kristen Smart case just this month was quite a cause for celebration IMO!

I'd like to know once and for all if Berkowitz acted alone or was in fact part of a larger group of loonies.

For example, I'd love to finally know who "Megadeth Man" was in the Debra Poe case. I'd also love it if LE were finally able to find and trace a suspicious transaction involving Strychnine in the Patsy Wright case. (IIRC, the UM segment made a point of mentioning that the Strychnine used to kill Wright was a very potent, uncommonly pure variety of the toxin and that said substance was highly regulated. As such, I had always hoped that LE would have been able to find a bogus transaction of Strychnine that could then be traced to a suspect). Having recently commented on the Flores case, I would love it if the suspicious vehicle in the security footage was finally identified and traced to a suspect. Finally learning the true motive behind the Dick Hansen murder (49er Hugs) would be an awesome UM dream come true IMO, as well as finally knowing for sure if Dave Bocks did indeed end up in the industrial furnace, and if so, whether he ended up there accidentally or intentionally (either by a suicidal or homicidal act). Okay, I've got to stop now or I'll go on all night, lol.

Does anyone else out there have any UM dreams? If so, I'd love to hear about them!
Interesting thread topic, I share your thoughts with Patsy Wright and Matt Flores. Patsy Wright is always at the top for me. I always have this nagging thought that someone or some people know something and that information just needs to be brought forward. but I fear that the investigation is dead in the water in Arlington because of their department being too busy. The Strychnine is interesting. RS points out that it was rare, and there was one other Strychnine poisoning that I recall mentioned on the show in another segment, but that one eludes my memory. I would be interested to know what form that the strychnine was used. We've heard that rat poison was commonly used in farming communities at that time. Interestingly Patsty was into horses and was actively engaged with people at the time of her death. This combined with the unusual phone call that was answered by her daughter, always led me to believe that she may have been murdered by a love interest.

Perman Gilbert. Like Patsy's case, I feel there are people out there who know what happened to him and they have remained silent and/or the case has been forgotten. It looks like it was most likely a crime of passion, but as pointed out in the segment, the way that the body was found, it could have been a hit of some sort to humiliate him and his family.

Amy Bechtel, I just don't feel that her case will ever be solved. I am 99.9% sure that her husband was wrongfully accused once her disappearance turned into a criminal investigation. we will likely never know what happened to her.
