So I was watching a new video on the Sodder Children on YouTube and one of the people in the comments said something to the affect that the remaining Sodder child should have put her DNA into a database to find out if she had any nieces or nephews that she didn't know about. The fact that she hasn't done that leads to me think that her missing siblings were deceased before they had any children. Perhaps her children will do that instead.

That's exactly what happened though to a grown man (Keith Reinhard) on Pendleton Mountain though

It's things like this that make me really like CD's posts on cases like this. If you read current accounts.. Everyone is fixated on the man in the jogging suit. But.. You go back and look at the articles from the timeframe.. And there's hardly any mention.

What does that mean? In general, it means someone who writes blog posts, or does a news piece on a case needed to punch it up some. "oh, the girl went missing? Ok, let's play up the guy in a jogging suit angle so that it's more interesting. More interesting = More Ratings". These people do a great disservice.

Then.. people who see that, take the spin as gospel.. and suddenly, everyone's fixated and looking for a guy in a jogging suit who.. Perhaps
or probably.. Never even existed in the first place.

This is where CD did such a great job on this posting.. Not that it hasn't been a great job on the others as well. But.. The BS was cut through. The hype to get ratings was removed and a very factual and accurate blog posting was done. Which, to me, is the most important thing.

I really appreciated this comment Labonte!! It is so true! UM and others will take one particular incident and focus on it, sometimes to an exclusion of everything else. All the facts need to be presented and theorize from there. Thanks again!!

For anyone who is interested, I recently was interviewed about my Christi Nichols blog for the Unfound podcast. Here is a link:

https://www.stitcher.com/podcast/ed-dentzel/unfound

Also I'll be posting my next article VERY soon. It's a very frequently talked about UM case. I have spoken with a relative and have so much more information than was revealed on UM. Stay tuned.....

Meant it totally. You present all sides with good facts and do an outstanding job of not leading the reader, leaving it to them to make their own decisions.

Obviously, you have your own opinions, and i'd be lying if I said they never come through in your writing, but they're subdued and when they're not you point them out yourself, instead of presenting them as fact.

There's also the point to be made that you don't particularly seem to be either of the two general types of people fascinated by these cases. My view on it, you have the skeptic.. I put myself leaning towards that category, though not fully in it. I generally look for the simplest explanation and go with it. A girl who disappears in the forest is far more likely to have wandered off and gotten lost than been abducted.

Then you have the other extreme, where there's a boogeyman behind every tree. Some people lean that direction. You really hit right in the middle.. And that's a very hard thing to do.

The sheer amount of research you do as well.. Lord have mercy. Absolute top notch. You turn over stones that I would never have considered looking at, much less under.

As far as Ayleen Conway, Freakbook, she would be at the top of my list to write about. Unfortunately I did reach out to one of her children and she was very nice, but declined to talk about her mother's case. She said anytime anything comes out about it, it just creates problem. So I am not doing it out of respect for them. Honestly, there is literally nothing about the case out there so without their help I would just be repeating the UM segment, nothing more.

Thank you so much! That is such a wonderful compliment to me!!!

I have been in contact with someone recently who was able to give me even more information about Nyleen's case. I promised I would keep this person's name out of it but I do plan on editing my blog and putting a lot more info in. Stay tuned!!

But in the meantime, here is the one I'm sure all you hardcore UM fans can't wait to read. Finally writing one about Charlotte Pollis!! Here you go:

Another excellent article. Love the title. Your blog posts just confirms what most believe-that Paul and his family got away with murder.

My questions, after reading...

Paul's parents still alive, still living at the same house? It'd be pricey.. But probably very cathartic for Ali to have that floor dug up and see what's there. Wouldn't bet on the police doing it.

What, if anything, has the son had to say through the years of what happened that night? He's.. Strangely absent in the story.. Is he estranged from the Nagi family?

When did Paul's father stop being the coroner? How much access to the PD and evidence did he have?

Something that bugs me about the timeline.. The family spoke to Charlotte at 1:30am.. Neighbors said that Paul's parents were there all night. Which you would think mean they were there at 1:30am.. After all.. Neighbors generally would see the car there at 10pm, see it there at 6am, assume it was there all night, right? Generally don't see people sticking their head out at 2am and 4am.. There's other explanations here, but.. That's curious.

The kids, if they weren't out with Paul, had to be at the house. All through the (apparent) murder AND cleanup? Wouldn't you think the grandparents might.. You know.. Get them the hell out?

It's unfortunate that Ali is in bad health. He seems to be the only one that really cares.
