TV Dana Delany Joins "The Code"

Dana Delany to Co-Star on CBS Series "The Code"
by Nellie Andreeva
August 22, 2018

Emmy winner Dana Delany has been tapped for a series regular on CBSí new drama series "The Code".

Delany will play Colonel Eisa Turnbull, the Commanding Officer of the Marine Corpsí Judge Advocate Division. Eisa demands excellence of herself and her staff, inspiring fierce loyalty from the attorneys who serve under her command. One of the highest‐ranking female officers in the Corps, Eisa is also the mother of two sons who are serving overseas.

The role was played in the pilot by Mira Sorvino. It is one of two series regular parts that were recast after the pilot, along with the male lead, now played by Luke Mitchell.

Let the #MeToo backlash begin! What B/B+ mostly movie actress from an acting family was just canned from a pilot that was picked up to series by a major broadcast network? The producers used her name and revitalized recognition after coming forward with her story about the disgraced Hollywood producer. When the network picked up the pilot to series, the producers dumped her — at the request of the network. This is not going to turn out well for the producers or network. Mira Sorvino (CBS "The Code")

This network show recently got picked up from a pilot. The lead actress was told she wasn't going to be part of the series because of several reasons but it is mainly because the network thought she was too old. They want someone a few decades younger who will sometimes get half naked. The lead actor quit the show in solidarity with his co-star. "The Code" (Mira Sorvino and Dave Annable)
