I know the Doyle Wheeler segment aired a second time late in season 2. Robert Stack mentions it in a preview for the next week's episode.

Don't want to jinx it or get it taken down, but you can view the Todd McAfee segment easily now on a certain forbidden site that is not to be named.

Hopefully Cosgrove Muerer isn't taking down videos as much lately now that FilmRise has the rights.

That's the same version I have (missing the first few seconds).

Does anyone know why the Todd McAfee segment is (or was) rare?

I don't remember seeing it during UM's original run or the Lifetime era, so I watched it on the forbidden site just now and while it's interesting, it doesn't strike me as particularly controversial in any way (no racial remarks by Stack, etc.)

Just curious!

I just saw it for the first time today and I agree, I can't figure out why it only aired once, thus being rare. It's still unsolved today so surely it deserved to be aired frequently as all the other unsolved cases, makes you wonder why this was an exception.

Perhaps maybe the family didn't want too much coverage, perhaps the first airing brought in many leads (false ones) and it was too painful to endure new information especially being dead ends and somehow they gave up in terms of any hope in solving. Only a theory, the segment didn't mention his family nor does the wiki UM page. Yeah, I just can't see why this one was aired just once and all others were repeated.

The only thing I could think of was that law enforcement asked them to not re-air it because the of the "creepy people" that the witness saw had absolutely nothing to do with McAfee's murder and didn't want to deal with more tips about these people. From reading some articles about McAfee's murder, I think law enforcement suspected McAfee's housekeeper early on, but the UM segment makes no mention of her.

Todd's father was interviewed at the beginning of the segment.

People often talk about the Brazos River Attackers segment. Is it on the forbidden site?

The live shows with the phone reunions were just awkward and uncomfortable for everyone involved
