RTN's coming to Eureka, Odessa-Midland, Huntsville and Albuquerque:
EUREKA, CA LITTLE ROCK, AR -- Retro Television Network (RTN) announced today that it has signed KIEM‐DT, Eureka, CA as its newest RTN affiliate. KIEM is the second Pollack Broadcasting station that RTN has signed as an affiliate. The first, KWCE‐TV, Alexandria, LA was one of the first RTN affiliates to sign on the air in 2006. "We are very excited about the opportunity to bring RTN to the North Coast. The classic programming content is outstanding and the presentation is of the highest quality. Viewers will be very excited with the classic family‐oriented programming line‐up", stated William Pollack, President of Pollack Broadcasting Company. RTN’s mix of “Classic Hits all Day and Fresh Live Talk” is a growing phenomenon. RTN has signed multiple stations with groups that include Cox Broadcasting, Media General, and Citadel Communications. RTN can now be seen in markets that include Atlanta, Seattle, Washington, DC, Detroit, and Orlando. ### Odessa-Midland, TX LITTLE ROCK, AR -- Retro Television Network (RTN) announced that it has signed KWWT‐DT, Odessa‐Midland as an affiliate. KWWT‐DT is owned by Camino Real Communications. “We at RTN believe that the viewers in Odessa‐Midland will fall in love with RTN like we have,” said Mark Dvornik, Executive Vice President RTN, “With ‘Classic Hits All Day and Fresh Live Talk All Night’ RTN is a winning combination that cannot be beat.” KWWT will be the second RTN that Camino Real Communications has launched. "We are very excited about our launch of RTN in the Odessa‐Midland market. We have carried RTN on our owned and operated station in Palm Springs, CA since early this spring. Based on the overwhelming positive response we have received from both advertisers and viewers, we think RTN will be equally well‐received in Odessa‐Midland. I think there is a real pent up demand in our market for a network like RTN. Over the past 7 years since we first went on the air in Odessa, I have had many viewers ask us to bring them many of the programs we will now carry on RTN. I think RTN is developing a network that makes sense for us and our viewers today," said James Primm, General Manager KWWT‐TV. ### Huntsville, AL LITTLE ROCK, AR -- Retro Television Network (RTN) announced today WHNTDT, Huntsville‐Decatur‐Florence, will be signing on as an RTN affiliate. WHNT is owned by Local TV LLC. “We are proud to have Local TV LLC’s station WHNT join the growing list of RTN affiliates,” said Mark Dvornik, Executive Vice President RTN,” Shortly viewers in Huntsville and the Tennessee Valley will enjoy seeing classic shows like Dragnet, Emergency, and Leave it to Beaver along with new soon‐to‐be favorite live talk shows like Unreliable Sources.” RTN’s programming philosophy “Classic Hits All Day and Live Fresh Talk All Night” has been a hit with viewers and broadcasters alike. "WHNT is excited about the opportunity to work with RTN to launch a new digital channel with such good family oriented programming. So many of these shows were favorites and we're happy that we can bring them to our viewers in Huntsville and the Tennessee Valley," said Stan Pylant, President and General Manager, WHNT‐TV. RTN can be found on the web at www.rtnville.com. ### Albuquerque‐Santa Fe, NM LITTLE ROCK, AR -- Retro Television Network (RTN) announced today it has signed Ramar Communication’s KTLL‐DT/KFAC‐LP, Albuquerque‐Santa Fe as RTN affiliates. RTN’s “Classic Hits All Day and Live Fresh Talk all Night” is a growing trend that is attracting more and more stations as they look for programming for their digital channels. With affiliates already on the air in Atlanta, Washington, Detroit, and soon Phoenix, RTN is filling a void for broadcasters and viewers alike. “We chose RTN because it has a distinctive brand that connects with viewers and the programs bring instant familiarity all day long,” said Brad Moran, Ramar Communications. “We are excited to be bringing the great classic programming and new‐soon‐to‐be favorite, live talk shows to Albuquerque‐Santa Fe,” said Mark Dvornik, Executive Vice President RTN. RTN can be found on the web at www.rtnville.com. ### |

I have pretty much given up on Retro, This TV, .2, Variety and all the other digital only stations that may show classic tv and movies because it appears none will reach most of the top ten markets in the country.
Really that makes them basically just local channels in whatever areas there in and not national networks. In addition they don't even bother to answer emails sent nor do they give updates on where you can find them or in some cases even have websites. I find it sad you get more info on them from wiki searches. If they don't care why should we? To those that have them i hope your enjoying them while you can cause without changes none will survive more than a short time. |

I wish someone in Lousiville, KY would get their head out of their a$$ and pickup RTN. I only watch sports, Turner Classic Movies, and the History-Science-Discovery Channels on cable any more as channels like TVLand have gone completely off the deep end.

I am so sick of RTN....they expand in these small markets but not much in, say, the top 25 or even 50. What's their problem? They need to start signing in the top 10 and especially Chicago, Boston, NYC, Los Angeles, San Fransisco (again), etc. Are they not shopping it or something?

RTN was supposed to start in Sept. on WHBF in Rock Island, IL. It hasn't, and no one at WHBF will take phone calls or answer e mails on the subject.

Apparently RTN has replaced The Bold Ones with Sarge, the George Kennedy series.
