Every time I go by the home where Kurt Sova partied. It's been killing me to go inside.

Every time I am about to close a deal, particularly involving loading something into the car, and/or need help loading a large item into the car, I start glancing around nervously for a dude to hit me with a hammer. Sad but true.

I've tossed out, "Cheaper, but will do," and "He looked (at me) like he was just about to enjoy a large steak," on a few occasions.

Due to UM I tend to be a lot more observant when I load up equipment, and I don't talk on my phone when I'm walking around in public.

I've said it before but it's worth mentioning. Every time I drive on interstates in the US. Stopping at rest stops is when I get that creepy watch your back feeling.

When I'm driving, I am acutely aware of older pick-up trucks with water inspired decals in their back windows...especially flying fish decals. Angela Hammond.

Quite a few years back I had two young guys come to my door. I'm not sure what they wanted but I had an uneasy feeling about them and got them to leave my porch. They went across the street and stood under the streetlight, not moving. It was at night and I ended up calling the police. I wasn't the only one, and the cops came and they moved along. It reminded me of the Cindy James segment where her friend Agnes Woodcock supposedly saw the mysterious stalker across the street from Cindy's home after finding her assaulted on the floor. We don't get a lot of foot traffic in my neighborhood so anytime I see someone I don't know, especially at night, hanging around, I do get a bit spooked, and that creepy UM music starts playing in my head.

I'm not apprehensive about stopping at a rest stop during the day, especially during the summer since you're bound to see tons of vacationers.

But once the sun goes down? No thank you.

I used to frequent rest stops in my late teens/early 20's. Until I read that Dale Eaton picked/kidnapped Lisa Kimmel simply because she happened upon the rest stop at the right time.

Yeah. After reading that, I quit stopping at rest stops altogether.

Yes, I don't do rest stops after dark - ever. I've been watching UM since I was a child, so I never have.

I recently thought of U.M. when a muffler in my car was going bad. It reminded me of the Dan Wilson case, when his mind got messed up by the trouble he was having with his vehicle, which he seemingly wasn't aware of. That of which was what also sadly, more than likely cost him his life as a result. I know I'm not dare driving my car anywhere, until it's fixed for that matter as well, for obvious reasons!

Whenever I throw a used needle and syringe into the sharps container at work, I always think of that line from the Michael Swango segment: "Hypodermics aren't just left lying around."

If I ever saw an older truck with a jumping fish decal in the back window I'd follow it until I ran out of gas.

This is ridiculous, but if an idling semi or some other quiet engine is close to me for too long I start to think I might be hearing the hum.

Kinda sad, but when I use the mirror, I don't stand directly in front of it and look at my own reflection. I stand slightly to one side (away from the door) and look to the side of my reflection in case some weirdo might be reflected in the far edge. Of course, I could just close the door when using the mirror, but that would give me no reaction time if he's on he other side of the door.
