A while back I got to see the first episode of It's About Time again. Like so many shows from the period it was pretty goofy. (Of course it seemed funnier, when I was a kid.) The theme song is still great, though.

the site

www.tvobscurities.com

has information about it, including a clip of the animated beggining. You're right; it is a great theme song!

How'd you get to see it, because it's not on VHS or DVD?

Stockard Channing's 2 short-lived sitcoms from the late 70's. Just Friends and The Stockard Channing Show. I loved them, but no one watched them - and very few people even remember them...

I barely remember The Stockard Channing Show. I was just a kid.

Short lived TV shows I'd like to see:
Amanda's
One In A Million
Fay
Harper Valley
Checkin' In
Pink Lady ( I think it is on DVD)
Life with Lucy
Once A Hero
Powers of Matthew Star
Sister Kate
Blansky's Beauties
The Nancy Walker Show
Movin' On
Then Came Bronson
The New People
Flo
Gloria

Short-lived shows I'd love to see:

Joanie Loves Chachi (OK, I watched this when it was on but never bothered to tape it)

Small & Frye
Starting from Scratch
Harper Valley PTA
Aloha Paradise

-Hot L Baltimore
-Carter Country
-All That Glitters (it wasn't really funny, but I'd be curious to see it again. I think it was Norman Lear's next project after Mary Hartman Mary Hartman).
-The Cop And The Kid
-The Smothers Brothers (Tom Smothers as an angel)
-We've Got Each Other
-He & She

Both are held in the UCLA Film & Television Archive. Someone will probably decide to watch them one of these days.
