TV The Entire "Girls" Cast Will Guest on "The Simpsons" Season 27 Premiere

Lena Dunham Falls for a "Simpson"
by Andy Swift
January 9, 2015

Is Lena Dunham poised to break up one of the most beloved marriages on television?

The "Girls" star is lending her voice to "The Simpsons" Season 27 premiere this fall, Entertainment Weekly reports, playing a sexy pharmacist named Candace who catches Homer’s (apparently wandering) eye after he’s diagnosed with narcolepsy.

(Fun fact: Like Dunham, Candace will also be inked.)

Totally not watching the Season 27 premiere because of this. Horrible decision on the showrunners part for even having her as a guest. I cannot stand this woman.

"Girls" Stars Join Lena Dunham on "The Simpsons" -- Exclusive
by Dan Snierson
4/17/15

Earlier this year, we told you that "Girls" star/creator Lena Dunham was headed to Springfield for a guest role on "The Simpsons". As it turns out, her Brooklyn bunch is coming along for the ride, too.

EW has learned that Dunham’s co-stars from the HBO comedy — Allison Williams, Zosia Mamet, and Jemima Kirke — have made small vocal contributions to the same episode.

We’re having a Girls reunion, even though Girls is still on the air,” quips Simpsons executive producer Al Jean.

In the season 27 premiere of the animated Fox comedy, 'Every Man’s Dream', Marge files for divorce from Homer, and he starts a romance with a young, funny pharmacist named Candace, voiced by Dunham. Williams, Mamet, and Kirke play … what else but Candace’s friends.

It’s fair to say that Candace’s crew is not sold on the new man in her life. Says Jean: “They’re asking her the question that anybody normally would: ‘Why Homer?,’ fulfilling the role that Patty and Selma have played on the show all these years.

In addition, radio talk show host Laura Ingraham plays a therapist who finds no hope in Homer and Marge’s marriage.
