Post Fonz in the later episodes

Is it me, or does the Fonz look a little tubby in the later shows? I recently saw one, and he could barely zipper his leather jacket over his stomach.

I think that's one of the reasons why they switched from the white to darker t-shirts.

Yes the Fonz did in fact gain weight in the later seasons. So they'd have him wear his Jacket Unzipped more than usual, so you wouldn't notice as much. Also by this time Henry Winkler was 38 in real life, yet still playing the part of a 19 year old. How does he do it?

i never really thought his weight gain was that obvious. i mean, it ddint do him any harm. his hips looked a bit bigger when he had just a t-shirt on (or the one where he does the magic tricks, with the wetsuit) than before. he looked great for his age. it doesnt matter what what he wears (i think he dressed great) its how he acts and the type of character he has.
