I really enjoyed Bedtimes for Sniffles--odd, considering I always found the character annoying.

I'd have enjoyed it more if the titles hadn't been cut for a reissue. They should be relatively easy to restore, considering it appeared to be the theme playing over the Blue Ribbon title card. I will check Youtube to see if anyone tried.

Just ran across A Feather in his Hare. Must be Public Domain (AAP forgot to renew the copyright), since it's the full cartoon. We won't see this on MeTV since minorities evidently aren't allowed to be goofy.

"Oh, Prunella!" LOL

More on Sniffles: He made his debut in the 1939 Merrie Melody "Naughty But Mice." In this one he has a cold, gets a high-alcohol cold remedy, and ends up drunk. Don't know if this will make it onto MeTV (I'd bet against it), but it's on Looney Tunes Mouse Chronicles: The Chuck Jones Collection, disc 1.

I think their main concern is negative sterotypes. The rest is just viewer discretion advised.

The Wild Chase (Road Runner, Wile E., Speedy, Sylvester - 1965 - Freleng/Pratt) - Reused earlier animation/gags, inferior new animation from the DePatie-Freleng era, mostly canned music--what more could you ask for? Well, this was just run on Toon In With Me on August 17. One interesting thing is that this is unique in that it's the only time these characters are in the same cartoon.

She Was An Acrobat's Daughter (Misc. - 1937 - Freleng) - Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies book calls this a very funny cartoon. First time on MeTV.

Picador Porky (1937 - Tex Avery) - a black and white Looney Tune. MeTV debut.

Bedtime for Sniffles (1940 - Jones) - kind of a Christmas cartoon, so we'll probably see it again around that time. This is the first time we've seen this early Jones character on MeTV--there are 12 of them between 1939 and 1946.

Hare Conditioned (Bugs -1945 - Jones)
This is the first time I've seen the Saturday crew mess up. They cut short the ending credits of one of the Pink Panther episodes. At least I haven't noticed before.

What you refer to as goofy is actually a racist depiction- semantics.

Those racist cartoons from back then were made intentionally to disparage those who they caricaturized.

Anything to add to this discussion?

Did you check out The Jim Crow Museum Of Racist Memorabilia link I provided for you in order to show you that these types of cartoon images are not just 'goofy' as you stated but are very much indeed racist to their core?

Screwball Squirrel (1944 - Tex Avery)

A Fink in the Rink (Roland & Rattfink - 1971 - Art Davis) - theater release 1971, but aired on TV in 1968

Just my point of view, but you seem to be more interested in being an antagonist than a helpful person. Me thinks the definition of "friend" is in question here.

Friend = a person who acts as a supporter of a cause or organization...

Of course, I could be mistaken.
