Default Disney lack of accurate fairy tales adaptions

So what is your opinion on Disney's adaptions of fairy tales and lack of staying true to the source material. Obviously it works for them, it makes them money, but creatively what stories do you think Disney made better and what stories you think they made worse?

There is no right or wrong answer depends on the story, depends on what you want. If you want dark grimness, stick to the original. If you want something more positive, go with Disney.

When Walt Disney debuted Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs in 1937 it was a milestone in history for being the first full-length animated film and it proved to be one of the most successful movies of all time. But when animated movies based on fairy tales became all the rage Disney became number one in fairy tale adaptions and then followed suit with Cinderella in 1950 and what people don't realize about Cinderella is that Cinderella although it was adapted from the original version the actual Cinderella story is based on a folktale from Asia but if you look up the original Asian story of Cinderella you will see that the ending is kind of weird and so Disney wanted to base Cinderella on the familar version to keep it clean. The same thing happened when Sleeping Beauty debuted in 1959 and Disney's version was based on the ballet and if you ever watched Sleeping Beauty in your lifetime and compare it to the original ballet The Sleeping Beauty you'll notice some differences that Disney did not add to the film but it was adapted from the Brothers Grimm version of the story. As the 80's ended and The Little Mermaid debuted in 1989 Disney began to improve it's fairy tale adaptions because that's what made Disney lots of money and full of success and so if you watched The Little Mermaid in your life you'll notice that even though it's based on the Hans Christian Andersen original version the Disney version omits some parts of the story like for example the ending of the original The Little Mermaid featured the mermaid dying after learning that the prince and his crush had gotten married and the mermaid missed the prince so much she was heartbroken and soon she was revived to live under the sea. But Disney decided to make it family friendly and so that's why Ariel marries Prince Eric in Disney's version of The Little Mermaid. Another movie that did this was Beauty And The Beast and if you notice when Beauty And The Beast debuted in 1991 Disney's version of Beauty And The Beast was adapted from two versions of the fairy tale but I think Disney based their version of Beauty And The Beast on the book adaption written by Mercer Mayer in the 70's because you'll notice in Disney's version the ending scene seems to be taken from the Mercer Mayer version of Beauty And The Beast. But if you look at Frozen you'll notice that even though it's based on The Snow Queen Frozen has nothing in common with The Snow Queen and it surprises me that Disney got inspired by The Snow Queen to do Frozen and why they named it Frozen is beyond me when it sounds like Frozone and they took out the e to avoid confusion with The Incredibles character. Another Disney film that was supposed to be a fairy tale was Tangled which if you look at the general picture Tangled has nothing to do with Rapunzel except that Rapunzel lives in a tower and featured the character Mother Gothel from the original Rapunzel but it wasn't as successful as Disney had hoped. But if Disney were to make versions of fairy tales such as Gulliver's Travels and Mufaro's Beautiful Daughters which is an amazing fairy tale from Africa or Little Red Riding Hood or even The Princess And The Pea Disney could make millions of dollars from these animated fairy tales if they were to be made
